While the food seems great, I’m not confident the staff understand coeliac disease. Items marked gluten-free on the menu weren’t actually gluten-free. We made clear when ordering that two of the party were coeliac. We were asked if we could eat haloumi, we had to check whether chips on a gluten-free dish were cooked in a separate fryer (they weren’t), questioned the pita in another gf dish (not gf) and because they didn’t seem to have a good understanding I thought I better check what the marinade contained on the gf ribs, concerned about soy sauce. After quite a bit of time the chef came out from the kitchen and confirmed the marinade had soy sauce so had gluten. They quickly replaced the ribs with fish but I didn’t appreciate being told we should choose a simpler dish next time. If you’re not coeliac I think the meals looked really great but if you are I’d be cautious.
