Koi was one of my favorite restaurants before these dietary restrictions. They offer great service, drinks, and food with lots of small, shareable plates like my (former) favorites: endamame dumplings and crispy rice. Imagine my surprise upon finding they offer a gluten free menu!
The gluten free menu admittedly pales in comparison to their main menu. However, it offers many of the restaurant favorites including the crispy rice, tasting practically unchanged from the original. So far I have yet to have a bad experience due to cross contamination or other allergy/intolerance issues despite being highly sensitive.
I highly recommend if you’re looking for a place for dinner by Bryant Park.

Very knowledgeable. Waiter himself had the same allergy. Food is prepared in a separate part of the kitchen. The gluten free menu isn’t extensive, but what I had was excellent. They also have organic GF soy sauce.

Very celiac and allergy friendly! The food and service are fantastic. It’s expensive, but you get what you pay for. Special occasions would be well spent here.

Try the gluten free crispy rice! So happy to see gluten free spicy tuna!

They are on it!! Never felt so safe and comfortable eating out. They get it. Have separate kitchen space, server knew the menu well. They made an “account” under my name so that next time I go I don’t have to go through the whole explanation. They were fantastic.

Staff very knowledgeable about Celiacs and gluten. There was a good choice of dishes and they were delicious. Top marks!

Fantastic meal. Best sushi we have had had, gluten-free or not. The server completely got what “gluten-intolerant” meant and they had a dedicated gluten-free menu.
Went here tonight. Despite telling the waiter 2x that my food needed to be gluten free, he brought me something with gluten. He never bothered to bring gluten free tamari, refill my tea, or even bother to stop by the table.
So, all in all a bad experience. The sushi was good, but for an upscale restaurant with a gluten free menu, I would not go there again. Not worth the price.

Delicious. Very knowledgeable staff. They have a gluten free menu and if you tell them you have celiac they change gloves and use a fresh board for prep. The manager came over and spoke with me. I was going to order sorbet for dessert and they came back and told me that the stabilizers used make it are not safe for celiacs. I will definitely be back.

Not a huge GF menu, but plenty of delicious options. They also have a couple of desserts to choose from. Servers weren't very knowledgeable about what being celiac was, even suggested us to try some sake, which is NOT GF. Overall, it was a great experience, delicious food and didn't get sick. Kitchen personal are more aware than servers and careful with food preparation.

Good food, gluten free menu, with hot plate options in addition to sushi. Service is always good. I'm intolerant to gluten and have been clear both times. They also have gluten free dessert!
Celiac friendly, separate GF menu and the entire staff is made aware upon your arrival that you're GF! You have to try the GF cheesecake option! TRULY TO DIE FOR! The service was impeccable!! My new midtown favourite go to place!!!
