Koi Japan Sushi specializes in tofu pocket sushi (inari) with various toppings.
The tofu pockets they use are gluten free, as is the rice. Four of the toppings can also be gluten free - the three salmon options, and the guacamole option. They also have two rice bowls (donburi) that are gluten free - salmon or chicken, and have gluten free soy sauce available.
You have to be clear that you need it gluten free when you order, as they make changes (the non-gf salmon came with tempura bits on top, for example.) You also need to call instead of ordering through the website or an app if you want takeout in order to ensure it is safe.
The food is incredible. The flavours in the sushi toppings are so interesting and complex. This isn’t your everyday sushi, despite being priced like it! Highly recommended!!
I gave it 4 hearts for safety because they have gluten on site, but they did really seem to understand celiac and cross contamination.
