They offer gluten-free bread but unfortunately the staff isn’t aware about the risk of contamination. The fries are gf but go in the same fryer as things with gluten. So I wouldn’t recommend it to those with celiac desease.

They have gluten free buns for hamburgers, bread for toasts and even gluten free cake. There are also some other dishes such as nachos that are marked as gluten free. Very good attention and the staff is quite knowledgedable about gluten and other allergies.

This is a quite hipstery place inside the museum of contemporary art (Kunsthaus). They are open all day and offer gluten free bread (toast) for breakfast as well as gluten free burgers, which, however come with a side salad instead of a bun. There are also a few other gluten free meals in the menu as well as a gluten free cake. Staff took the matter seriously and dutifully checked with the kitchen re. allergens. A little side note: the allergens are marked in their menu but some are obviously random/nonsensical, e.g. the single cooked egg was marked as containing gluten, soy and nuts. Might be a matter of sloppy practices of copy & paste but it a) shouldn't happen and b) does make me wonder how reliable the other markings are.

2022 update:
Handling of gluten free ingredients has improved: the gluten free bread stays packed until it is prepared in a dedicated kitchen space. Separate tools and cutlery are being used to prepare it. Waiting staff is very knowledgeable on allergens & kitchen routines.
2020:
They offer gluten free bread & buns upon request, however do not have a dedicated space to prepare it. Cross-contamination therefore is present at all times.
Okey if avoiding gluten for taste however not suitable for sever sufferers.
The only gluten-free option on their breakfast menu is the vegan „Del Prado“ set brekkie.
It is a generous portion of high quality ingredients that are naturally gluten free. Gluten free bread is served upon request.
Still, beware that food is prepared in the same area as gluten containing foods.
Most of the items contain dairy products as well (e.g scrambled eggs). For the set breakfast options (called „Stadtbekannt“) one can swap single ingredients, for instance butter for vegan butter/another spread, as long as the swap equals the price range of the original ingredient.
