Gluten was clearly marked as an allergen on the menu and the host seemed knowledgeable. There was a small language barrier as my German is not very good and he spoke some English, but he seemed to understand what I meant by gluten allergy. I ordered the ham roll which he confirmed for no bread (you can get it on the side) and a Hollander. Both were absolutely delicious and presented beautifully. The entire restaurant was beautiful and we will probably be back to try more of their gluten free pastries. The only note of caution I have is most of the gluten free pastries are made with nuts, so be aware if you have a nut allergy.

The Oberlaa is in close distance to Schönbrunn (Hietzing). The variety of glutenfree pastries was great. I recommend looking at the counter. It is assigned what is glutenfree /lactosefree /vegan. My choices on a sunday were between 5 things: classical macaron, two types of rich chocolate fudge cakes, "esterhazy" pastry which is slightly smaller and with nuts and the thing I chose was the "dutchy" a little pastry made from an almond basis, a chocolate mousse on the ground, cream and an orange slice on top. All around it was covered in almonds. Really delicious. For me woth multiple allergies the variety also lactose free was therefore great.

It tasted amazing. They have like 4-5 gluten free cakes and gluten free bread. The cake is wrapped in plastic film.
