A large portion of the menu was meat, which I thought would be good. I did everything I could to let the waitress know about gluten allergy and tried to translate several different ways as well as show her the logo of the gluten-free symbol. I thought she understood, and was saying that it should be fine because it is meat but they even serve all of their meat dishes over some piece of flat bread or something it’s like almost tortilla like. So there wasn’t gluten in the food itself, but it was sitting on top of gluten, I think. There was not much I could do because I ordered like three trays of food, all of which were sitting on top of gluten. You will have some experiences like this in Kyiv but I have had a good experience at another café where it took a second but she didn’t know what I was talking about, and then even asked the chef and removed one of the items from my dish which was awesome.
