Kwan's

Kwans is my favorite place to eat gluten free. I literally cried the first time I ate there because it had been six years since I had ate any sweet and sour chicken that looked normal! Sadly Mr. kwan has recently passed away and they are not staying open for much longer. My heart will forever be grateful I got the chance to eat such amazing food and be graced by such an amazing Chef. RIP Mr. kwan

I have been eating at Kwan's for several years; it is one of few places in the Salem/Keizer area where I feel safe; I have never had a reaction, and my tolerance level is very low

I got very sick after eating here.

Update- I decided to give it another try and didn't get sick. I have now been several times with no reaction!

The quality of food is hit or miss

We are there a year or so ago. The wait was VERY long. The food was just okay. I've got celiac and had no problems. They seem very knowledgeable.

Wonderful food. Kwan is very knowledgeable about cross contamination issues in his kitchen. He answers all of the prodding celiac questions to a tea!

I love this place! So friendly and a total separate menu. My hubs doesn't need GF but we always just order off the GF menu and he loves it!

I loved Kwan's many years ago, before my diet changed. Just recently went back because I saw the signs for gluten free menu options... It's delicious. I'm so grateful for their consciousness.

This is probably THE place to go if you're gluten free. His daughter has celiac and so they are VERY careful and everything is breaded and awesome. Even onion rings!

Fried shrimp and you can't even tell the difference. I get cravings. It's soooo stinkin' delicious.

If you want authentic, go here! I love the Curry Triple! Super easy to order, gluten free menu, and of course Chef Kwan is simply the best!

They really understand celiac needs since the owner has at least a gluten sensitivity. They even have a separate cooking area and fryer.

I have eaten here many times without ever getting sick. They have a solid gf menu but no meal options so unless you want to spend a bundle you're limited in the diversity dept.

Eaten here many times. Never gotten sick. Every time I have asked for a gluten free menu Chef Kwan himself has come out to assist me. Kung Pao and sweet and sour chicken are my favorites.

Server did not speak English, didn't know what gluten was, and after talking with several other employees, ended up getting sick anyways:(!! Restaurant is dirty, and outdated! Food tasted bad too!
