Arrived near closing on a Sunday so selection was limited which was to be expected. Got the last raspberry pastry. To be honest, when I walked in, there was a noticeable gluten free flour smell if you know what I mean and I started to get worried that it wouldn't be as good as the reviews said. But I ate the raspberry pastry later on that evening and it was everything I could ask for. No gluten free taste! A little crunchy where I would want it to be crunchy. The raspberry filling was perfect. Not too sweet. Highly recommend!
Amazing selection with many options, and the service was excellent. Packaging for the to go items was great! The cafe hosted ample seating both indoors and outside including a covered patio. The facility was clean, well lit, and had an ample amount of trash cans. They also care about gluten allergies, and have a sign posted outside to not bring in food items from other places due to contamination.
Everything is dedicated gluten free. All of there products are gluten free! Also the pastries are AMAZING!!!!
100% recommend!
Everything is delicious! A must-try while in the Portland area.
I don’t live in Oregon but anytime I am passing through I’m sure to stop here. There is always something so outrageously delicious to try. I love their Galettes, the cinnamon rolls, the cupcake flavors always something special. If you are anywhere near Portland OR, you must make a detour and go here. You will not be disappointed.
Fantastic bakery which offers the staple baked goods of cookies 🍪 cupcakes 🧁 and cake 🍰 but also offers yummy 😋 goodies I haven’t found other places such as fried raised and filled doughnuts 🍩 galleta and pocket pie 🥧 aka pop tarts.
Excellent quality baked goods. I’ve met friends here that aren’t gf and they couldn’t tell the difference. They also have vegan Whoopie pies and other amazing desserts.
In addition they have a variety of coffee ☕ and tea drinks.
Definitely stop by and grab some food to eat there and then take some home.
My daughter’s first trip there and she was blown away! Couldn’t believe everything was available to her with being gluten free! Biscuits and gravy are my favorite thing ever here, but started our trip with breakfast and some muffins, cupcakes and cookies to take with us. It’s a gluten free paradise!
Absolute MUST GO! Before diagnosis cupcakes were my comfort food, nothing a cupcake couldn’t fix… I’ve been gluten free for 3 years now and have visited many GF bakeries across the country, but had not found a cupcake that tasted and felt “normal”… until Kyra’s. My first bite brought me to tears. We also tried many other delicious treats, but my personal fave and recommendation if you only get one thing are the cupcakes!
Really not impressed with the food here. I got a savory galette and it was so expensive! I have been to gf places all over and the price could have paid for a full dinner. I was expecting a flaky, light crust but it tasted like a really sweet dough that was really thick and dense. New Cascadia and Gem are much better.
Best gf and df desserts. The service was some of the worst I have ever received. Almost left due to the girl behind the counter. I felt like she absolutely hated me for no reason at all. I think due to lack of customer service will be spending my money elsewhere. What a shame...
Dedicated GF facility! A celiac dream!!! My non GF friends love this place and can't even tell it's GF. Everything on the menu is delicious. The sandwiches are also a normal size, which was a nice surprise. 10/10 worth the stop :) It's also very fair prices for everything being GF.
Went a couple of weeks ago at the time of this post. Even though I visited near the end of business, they had a large variety of freshly baked goods. Dedicated GF (so strict even the employees are prohibited from bringing contaminated foods to work for their lunch). Prices are pretty reasonable for a specialty bakery. I enjoyed everything I tried and plan to be back in the future.
This is a lovely dedicated GF cafe and bakery. I got a club sandwich on their yummy bread (bread might’ve held together better toasted though), and I ordered a cinnamon roll to go and a chai latte. The cinnamon roll was really rich and sweet- very yummy and a special treat. It was big enough to eat in 2 separate sittings. Will definitely be back!
Incredible baking. Wows GF and gluten eaters alike. Very friendly and knowledgeable. The best delectable I've ever had (that includes before I was GF)
Got cupcakes for my faincé's birthday he really didn't realize it was gluten free. Nice and airy cupcakes. Would go again for them again soon.
Our first time here at Kyra’s Bake shop I can truly say I had one happy kid. She loved everything approved by a 6yr old with celiac. ♥
Delicious! B&G lives up to the hype & the maple donut was light and fluffy
I love this place. I go at least once a week. It’s so wonderful to have a safe place to get delicious treats and coffee drinks. I only wish they offered more egg-free options. Highly recommend!
Everything is gluten free. Loved the Monkeybread!
Found this on this app and had to try the maple donut - phenomenal. Not like the traditional ‘cakey’ gf fake donut but not quite a fried one. Somewhere in the perfect middle and not overly sweet either. also had a spinach and artichoke galette which was df and in incredible, too!
Got a maple donut! Yum. Yum. Yum. Almost went back in for another! And monkey bread, great treat for being gf. I’m from out of state and was on the way to the airport. Will love to visit when I’m back next.
Absofreakinlutely delicious! I had a sausage dog, that was really tasty and the Swedish Almond Bun that was AMAZING! If someone had given it to me anywhere other than a GF bakery I would have thought it had gluten in it. Best GF treat I’ve ever had. It was perfect and I will definitely go back again just for that!
Food was delicious will definitely be coming back. If you are celiac beware the oat milk is not certified gf I was glad I listened to my gut and checked. Also they close at 4pm and we tried to get sandwiches ordered at 3:15 and were told we couldn’t because they already cleaned the grill so make sure to go well before close!
The donuts and cookies were absolutely phenomenal. I did have extreme tummy pain after eating here. I’m sure it’s not gluten exposure but it was painful enough that I don’t know if I’d go back.
The taste of everything I’ve tried is amazing but I get bad tummy issues every time I eat here. I know it’s not gf contamination but something is in all their products that I’m allergic to.
This is the best place for cupcakes and pies! The flavors are great and the shop is adorable. The cookies we tried (Oatmeal and chocolate chip) were not my favorite. They were texturally off and tasted under baked. But, try the cupcakes and hand pies!
Oh man, if you need a sugar cookie and a great cupcake. Eat here! What I didn’t know is that she was a four time winner of cupcake wars! Explains so much!
Always excellent choice and it’s delicious and safe. Very friendly staff, and very expensive.
Super expensive! We bought a cinnamon roll, maple donut, and a apple hand pie. I will say the hand pie crust is delicious but the rest was just ok. It was $17.75 for three items!
Kyras is fully dedicated gluten free. The owner is Celiac and only makes GF goods
No gluten on the premises! Super friendly and THE BEST food. I love their sandwiches for lunch and always grab some dessert to-go.
Great service and AMAZING food! Brought quite a few items to share with a group. They couldn’t even tell there was no gluten in them!
Definitely safe for those with true gluten allergy. Cinnamon rolls are much better pay off than cupcakes, latter of which tend to be dry and limited in flavor. For the price point (~$20 for 4 cupcakes), we prefer Petunia’s, however, we end up here more often due to location.
