The owner is taking responsibility for making sure your order is Gluten Free. Food was very good and according to Hispanic friends, it is authentic. Would still like to have a gluten free menu available. The menu is extensive and needs to have things narrowed down to reduce the amount of time it takes to place an order. Those of us that need to have a gluten free meal do not enjoy the long conversations with wait staff that are unsure, running back and forth to the kitchen to consult with the owner. We would rather enjoy the company of our dining companions and not have the focus on allergies.

Handmade corn tortillas made to order, fresh salsa bar, and authentic South American flavors. This is not your average NC Mexican place - I've never had anything like it in the triangle. Those of you from California who complain about the Mexican restaurants in this area should check it out - I think it would impress.

The carnitas-and-cheese pupusas were out of this world, especially once I was told the right way to eat it is to put mexican slaw and sour cream on top. The owner came out and helped us select our dinner entrees since we weren't as familiar with some of the more traditional dishes. We ended up with lots of different types of enchiladas and tacos, with the usual sides, and Bisteca Mexicana. Everything was delicious and fresh, but I think it all was just a showcase for their tortillas. Looking forward to going back to try some of the other dishes soon.

I took away a star because I wished they offered some deserts, or told us about the drink specials when we walked in. Also, I don't care for big, open dining rooms like this with no booths or anything to break up the space - minor complaint though.

Manuel Madrigal, the owner/chef, is delightfully accommodating. With the exception of 2 items, the buffet is entirely gluten-free. He fried up chips in a separate fryer for us. He also offered to make any fried menu items especially gluten-free for us.
