La Catrina Tacos

Chose not to eat here as I was not comfortable with the server’s understanding of my questions.

Was told first to order from the vegan menu, but when I reiterated that it was a gluten allergy not veganism they remained confident… but then also said I could have anything as the whole menu is safe. But when I spotted burritos on the menu and asked if that was on corn wraps too they held up a wheat tortilla and said (a bit unsure) “I think these are flour?” I politely left as I did not feel that they understood what would and would not be safe for me.

Most of the menu is GF (tacos and quesadillas for sure made from corn) and anything that had gluten was clearly identified. The whole family enjoyed their orders! Very authentic Mexican food and good service. The cook/server could tell us exactly what was GF and what wasn't. Very small space, we took up all of their outside seats.
