Review of La Catrina

We were pleasantly surprised at our dinner last night (NYE). My son (not celiac, but he has the genes so we keep him GF), my husband (not celiac) and I (celiac) each enjoyed our meals. The menu was clearly marked and our waiter told us that almost everything they do there is with corn tortillas. My son and I each had an order of green enchiladas (one chicken order and one steak order) and my husband had the short rib plate. Both were excellent. For drinks, I had a mai tai and my husband had a mule. My son really enjoyed a traditional Mexican Coke. I’d probably get a margarita next time just to try something different. Even though it took a little while before our drinks were out and our food order was taken (which we didn’t mind because, hey, we’re in Maui!!!), the food came out hot and fast! We will definitely be adding this restaurant to our list of regulars.
