Because of my predictions and forced vomiting after eating here, I didn’t get horribly sick.

However, I don’t know if the waiter couldn’t hear me or what, but he a) brought me a “gf beer” that 100% had gluten in it but was alcohol free, b) did not mention which of the plates had gluten (our table shared a variety of plates ordered by one person). While items containing gluten are marked on the menu, the staff should still be able to tell you which ones you can and can’t eat when you ask (again, I didn’t get to order the food… not an ideal situation but these things happen). I know what Mexican dishes typically have flour and gluten in them, but still. If someone says “soy celiaca y no puedo comer nada con gluten como harina” maybe point out that the totopos y las tortillas con el queso fundido contain flour. Otherwise, why ask if I have food allergies? At that point, I didn’t trust any of the food so I just decided to try to force myself to vomit when I got home. I still had some symptoms of glutening this morning but not nearly what it would have been if I hadn’t have vomited.

Lastly, the food was just so-so. If you like Sinaloan, this place is probably the best you’ll get in NY. If you prefer food from other states, there are a lot of Mexican restaurants with better food. And restaurants that have more corn based dishes vs flour.
