You have to be careful, because I order a gluten free ceviche, and the waitress didn’t know that “ajinomoto” (a condiment they use to prepare ceviche) had gluten. After I told her that, they made me a delicious ceviche and it was totally save!

We are at La Mar on October 19, 2019. I have a wheat allergy and felt 100% comfortable eating here with no risk of getting sick. Before I could ask about options for me the server came up and asked if we had any food allergies or they should know about. When I said yes and described them she said she would send over the manager. We discussed with him and were happy to learn that most of their food is naturally made gluten free. We shared the cebiche sampler and substituted one of them due to my issue with handling vinegar and mustard. The plantain and sweet potato chips have a GF fryer they are made in along with 3 GF sauces which are served as an appetizer for free before hand. They also give you free Peruvian popper corn. Everything is to die for and didn’t get sick at all.

One of the best ceviche (or "cebiche" in Peru) and fish restaurants in Lima, and very knowledgeable about which dishes one can and cannot have. Staff was excellent, and food delicious. I'm very reactive to gluten, and came out just fine!
