Overall great service and food, with some exceptions.
I ordered the pomegranate chicken from the separate GF menu. Apparently they were out of what they had in stock but could make more, it would just take longer, so the server offered to bring hummus with gf crackers to me for free. Super nice of him and tasty!
On the other hand, even though I notified the server of celiac/allergy, he didn’t say anything about us ordering “falafel for the table”…until it was served and he said “oh, you can’t have this.” Wish it hadn’t been marked GF or that he would’ve said something before!
Most of the menu is gf and labeled clearly. I felt safe eating here. I tried the hummus (which was brought with rice crackers and crudites), vegan lamb meatballs with rice pilaf, the falafel salad and lentil soup. All delicious. I felt great after eating the meal and our waiter was helpful.
So. Good. I always get really anxious trying new places, especially if they’re not dedicated gluten free but if I could give this restaurant more than 5 stars.. I would! If you’re in the SF area, their lamb meatballs, hummus, kebabs, and rose water lemonade are all a must try!! All waiters and staff gluten knowledgeable
