There was a language barrier here, where I didn't feel confident the waitstaff understood the severity of my situation. They pointed out to me which items were not fried in the fryer—which IS contaminated and there is NO separate fryer here! A bummer, because that's a big part of why we went (FindMeGF, can you please change the tags?!). I ended up getting fish tacos, made with soft corn tortillas. These tortillas are grilled instead of fried like the tostadas and tortilla chips. It had a mystery mole sauce, which I was assured had no flour/gluten. I did end up getting glutened, and the timeframe suggests it was from here. I am assuming cross contamination or prep methods, versus actual ingredients, so perhaps those with a light sensitivity might be just fine! I enjoyed the food immensely, it's unfortunate that I had a reaction. One more note: the house margaritas are fantastic, I would go back for those alone!
No
The Mexican food is amazing. The inside of the restaurant is basically a club, but they do have nice outdoor seating. The enchiladas verde is great. I was reassured that the chips are fried by themselves.
