Told them I was celiac, asked the obligatory questions (like shared fryers- yes or no, answer was no). Picked something that would be gluten free naturally so it would only be an issue with cross contamination.

the waitress stopped me mid way into my second bite to tell me it was cooked in a shared pan. needless to say I was sick for days.
