Based on the reviews, I decided to stop here. I enjoyed a burger and fries. I had a good experience, no reaction and the food was great!

Bar atmosphere with an excellent brunch. Get the crispy Brussel sprouts for an appetizer - they were served with a little flag toothpick to indicate its GF. Server was knowledgeable of celiac disease! Great place for brunch. Definitely felt safe dining here.

I let them know I have celiac and they assured me that there would be no cross-contamination. I had the gf Mac n cheese, the gf French onion soup, and the gf rosemary chicken. They have a QR code menu and the gluten-free menu can be found there. Tasted great! I'd come back all the time if I wasn't from our of town.

What a great experience! Such a wide array of gf options that made us feel like we weren’t celiac. We got the wings, mac and cheese w bacon, fish and chips, and the burger w Caesar salad. Everything was crispy, delicious, and flagged gf when it came out. Only complaint is that the food took a long time to come out. Highly recommend!

Lady Gregory’s is probably one of my favorite places in Chicago. I’ve been coming here for years (10+) and even back in 2013/2014 they had celiac safe options. They have a great variety and separate fryer so you can have fries, fish and chips, etc. Appetizers are great too! Everything comes out labeled separately for GF. Strongly recommend!

Fish and chips- oh I never thought I’d be able to eat them again! No reaction from eating here. The location is very beautiful. It reminds me of being in an old bookstore/church. The waiter did bring me malt vinegar though which I didn’t put on my food thankfully but as a baby-gluten-intolerant I almost made a huge mistake!

Gluten free, crispy battered fish and chips. Need I say more?! As a celiac it’s one of our go-to spots. The spinach artichoke dip with GF bread is amazing as well. Never gotten sick.

We live in the neighborhood and have eaten here with our two celiac daughters dozens of times without issue and they are extremely sensitive to cross contamination. The restaurant has an extensive GF menu for brunch/lunch and dinner. Your order is always delivered with American Flags indicating it is GF.

I used to love this place but i’m sad to say their gluten free menu isn’t totally accurate. When I ordered the french onion soup and mentioned I had celiac the server told me there was “just a little bit” of gluten in it and asked if that was okay. Thank god he asked! Upsetting that they have a GF menu that isn’t actually GF and makes me wonder what else is not actually GF :/

We ordered all gluten free food even though only my 15 year old has Celiac. All food came flagged with a us flag. Gluten free Mac and cheese w bacon, tomato, onions, gluten free French onion soup. I was wary of ordering and asked the server to double check w the chef that there was no barley in it. It was delicious. Hamburger was good though bun did fall apart, blackened chicken sandwich was delicious, again bread fell apart, fish and chips was a big hit. Separate fryer. My picky celiac said fish and chips were yummy , they measured up to the ones she had in Boston. She tried all the food and like and asked if she could come back again soon. No desert though but too full any ways.

[Disclosure: I am not the celiac, my 18 year old son is.] Lady Gregory nails gf so damn well! Separate prep area, separate fryer, and here's the best part: celiacs are not treated like lepers with a different menu---LG does exact gf dupes of most if their normal menu items! It's incredible. We had 7 of us in our group with one celiac. We all ordered the gf versions of everything (to make it easier on the kitchen and avoid cross-contam at the table), and no one could tell it was gf. Further, I was just there last week, ordered the non-gf mac & cheese and spinach dip, and *I* could not tell the difference from one week to the next. Did the fish and chips this time and they were perfect. LG is now our go to when we have our celiac amongst us. Worth the schlep from Logan Square. The food is delicious, servers are friendly af. All of this has always been true of LG but I had no idea they did gf like it aint no thang.

If you love fish and chips and not celiac or are not on a GF diet, do yourself a favor and order the GF version of their fish and chips. My family who tried the non GF version regretted it as our GF version was so much better!! Not to say their non GF version was bad but the GF version taste amazing!!

We take the almost hour drive specifically for the fish fry. It is on the regular menu, not just Friday and not just during lent. It is so yummy and a non gf person wouldn't know the difference! Been there multiple times, never sick.

I was told by the waiter that the fries are made in a dedicated frier.
I had tomato basil soup, tuna melt on a gluten free bread, and sweet potato Fries. Plates are served with an American flag to signify gluten free. :) loved it.

Very helpful staff, gf menu is delicious and extensive
Flatbread and chickpea artichoke salad were great. I loved the little flags to denote gluten free. The servers were great too!
They got rid of the full GF menu. All of the burgers and buns (GF and otherwise) are cooked on the same flat top. Employees not very knowledgeable about any other items and not accommodating.

Food was ok. Server was not so confident about gluten free and quick to say food is not made on dedicated equipment. Did not inspire confidence. I did appreciate the large GF menu though.
Wilde is the best restaurant for gluten free in all of Chicago! I never stray from their gluten free artichoke dip (with GF toast) and their mac ‘n cheese. But the menu is HUGE! There are flat breads, burgers, sandwiches, and more. The “ultimate grilled cheese” has cheese on both the outside and inside of the sandwich. I’ve eaten here and at their sister restaurant, Lady Gregory’s, many many times and never once gotten sick. Definitely safe for celiacs! I also love that they put American flags in gluten free food for extra safety and awareness.
Yes
Great food, great service. They will accommodate your order to make it GF.
Yes
check your gluten free toast to see if it's burnt before biting into. I guess they grill it, so one of mine was burnt badly on one side.
No
Very large GF menu but no dedicated fryer so fries, chips, etc. are off limits for celiacs. However, staff was very helpful and our GF meals were marked with American flags so we knew they came out as GF. Nice to have a place that offers appetizers thru dessert in a fun atmosphere. Delicious brunch, too!

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Andersonville. They have a huge gluten free menu. Their burgers are great. Good gluten free beer. Their servers are even knowledgeable about what cocktails are gluten free. I have never been sick after eating here. Great place for kids too!

Was there last weekend and I had a horrible experience with the server. When I had mentioned that I was sensitive to gluten he had a very negative attitude towards me. As a person with celiac you know that when you go out to eat you are taking a risk. However when I explained my situation and asked for extra care (wash hands/clean surfaces) instead of saying he would let the kitchen know he told me it's not a separate kitchen and my food will be the same. I had been there before and had no problems so I figured he was just having a bad day and let the attitude go. We finished our meals with no problems and my friends and I got up to use the restroom and leave. I was waiting behind a post and the server did not see me standing there and he thought I had left. He began to talk about me to another tAble. He said many negative things about people who order gf, and how "real" celiac's don't eat out at restaurants. He talked about how he could not believe I had the nerve to ask them to wash their hands/ take extra precautions and how I was ridiculous. I stood there humiliated and when he finally looked up and realized I was standing there he walked over and attempted to apologize. My only response was shock and I told him that was rude. As a person with cealic disease in know how hard it can be to find restaurants you feel comfortable eating at, and I would hate for someone else to be humiliated for something that is not a choice.

Their gluten free menu is robust and full of delicious options like their Mac and Cheese, which is to die for. But best of all, they bring out gf meals with a little american flag on top--it's simultaneously celebratory and reassuring to know you're meal didn't get mixed up in the kitchen. (especially since everything is so yummy you're liable to second guess whether it really is gf). In pretty sensitive, and I've never been glutened here.

Their GF menu is awesome! The pricing, however...a little too steep.
Very large gluten free menu - special gluten free brunch menu - this place understands :)
My favorite pub!

Great place! Love the food, and the precautions they take are just fabulous. Marina in particular is great.
The food is fabulous. Love it. Have something different every time I go. I highly recommend the flatbreads and the white bean soup. The flag system is greatly appreciated to identify gluten free food.
And the staff is great - we went on St. Patrick's Day and the chef came out to clear their special menu with us.
Awesome selection of GF foods. Great service. Will come again!
