Good news and bad news.
Good:The brisket, ribs and pulled pork, coleslaw and potato salad were AMAZING! Our waiter was WONDERFUL! He was extremely accommodating and helpful.
Bad: They no longer guarantee a dedicated fryer. So while things like French fries and fried pickles are GF they aren’t celiac safe.
Server was super knowledgeable and spoke to the kitchen about my celiac disease and asked them the change gloves. She told us all the meats AND bbq sauces were gluten free AND they had gf buns! We got the fried pickles with ranch dressing and I got pulled pork sandwich with 50/50 bbq sauce and my boyfriend got the brisket, which melted in your mouth! I’m newly diagnosed so I’m very worried about eating out. I did not get sick here. Will definitely be going back!!
Must know, M-F they keep one fryer open to GF. We came early on Saturday morning and found this out and luckily it hadn’t been used yet. Their breakfast potatoes are fried cubes. No GF toast but a well worth it bun. I’m a big meat person so having brisket and eggs was dreamy for me. The potatoes were good as well. Our server was brand new so she didn’t know the answers. We had excellent service and food. Will definitely make the trek back to Lakewood for this place.
we ordered takeout, their menu has gf items marked so i ordered the thai peanut bowl and left a note in the special instructions but they called us to say that the sauce isn't safe for celiac. reordered and got the delicious burrito bowl. appreciate them taking the time to check in and it was very good!
They have a lot of GF options and the best breakfast in town. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. The quality the ingredients they use is amazing. They aren’t shopping for ingredients at GFS like most places around here. They smoke their own meats and make their own sausages.
