I told the waiter very clearly that I couldn't have gluten, that it would make me sick, etc and we went through options for dinner. Finally I ordered the mussels in red sauce. It came and was delicious - too delicious. One bite later I started feeling a reaction coming on. He confirmed that the kitchen used regular pasta. He apologized and offered to not charge us for my meal that would make me sick for the next 4 days. How chivalrous. I asked for the manager and he comped the rest of the meal but the whole family had to leave so that I could start dealing with gluten poisoning. I will never go there again. A horrible way to celebrate a special occasion.
