I would definitely eat here again. I’m a sensitive celiac, and I had zero issues with the pad Thai. The gluten free menu is nearly as extensive as the regular menu, I didn’t have to walk the server through how to handle my food because he seemed to fully understand what gluten free meant. Service was fast and friendly.
Literally our favorite restaurant. They know us by name, and we go every week. Never once gotten even a tad glutened in visit after visit. We don't even grill them anymore; just get a GF menu (they are EXTENSIVE) and get literally anything and enjoy it. They even have amazing fried foods and they are all totally safe. We are in love. 100% recommend it. We crave this all the time. Best place ever.
I don't know if I'm just unlucky here or what but I was very sick after eating here. I tried it probably a year ago and was also sick after that meal too. But I kept seeing all these great reviews for the place so I tried it again. I won't make that mistake again.
Good GF menu items. I enjoyed shrimp in lobster sauce. The only fault I found was in the soy sauce they used. To me it tasted like LaChoy, which is quite different from the GF from Kikkoman or San J brands, which go through the same process as regular soy sauce, but without the wheat.Given the opportunity I'd go back again and try another dish. The location is somewhat out of and off the main Lawrenceville area, more like heading towards Snellville.
Glad we listened to the reviews! They had a separate gluten free menu. So many selections. We got the General Tsos chicken gluten free and some soup, it was delicious. Server seemed knowledgeable and reassured us it would be right. And it was! No reaction after meal. So glad we now have this place on our list!!!
I have to drive 30 minutes to eat here, but it is completely worth the drive. My favorite food pre-diagnosis was chinese, so it was hard to go for a few years without it (sorry, but PF Chang's doesn't cut it.) This place is better than any place I went pre-celiac. Their Mongolian Beef and Golden Crispy Prawns are nothing short of amazing. Their service is very friendly.
Many dishes on the regular Chinese and Thai menus are available as gluten-free options at this casual Asian restaurant in Lawrenceville. Favorite dishes include egg drop soup, vegetable fried rice, Mongolian beef, mango prawns and sesame chicken. Fried glutenfree selections are battered in a cornstarch mixture and cooked in clean oil. Glutenfree soy sauce is used to make various sauces.
We have recently discovered this fantastic restaurant. The servers are all very knowledgable about cross contamination. They will even warn you if you are about to make a mistake! I have never gotten sick from this food and it is so delicious! It's so nice to not have to cook every now and then. This cafe is at the top of my very short list of safe places! Thank you, Lavender!!!
This was the best place for GF Asian food. My mom and I went for mother's day. We had the gf fried calamari (so good), shredded chicken and Mongolian beef. All of it was so good and a big portion. We ended up with leftovers for the next day. We are going again tomorrow for my mom's birthday.
Absolute best GF option around!! They have a very large GF menu. I an even get fried calamari here! The first time I went, I was new to GF and unaware that a separate menu existed. I simply ordered what I thought would be gluten free. While waiting I asked the server if a particular item was gluten free. He stopped dead in his tracks and exclaimed "You gluten free?!" When I responded yes, he ran to the kitchen and had them redo my order. He understood the dangers of gluten more than I did. The servers hereafter very knowledgeable and the food is fabulous!
