We ate here twice and I was fine. They are knowledgeable about gluten free choices and have a dedicated fryer. On the first day we had gf fried calamari and the crab, asparagus salad. Today we had Mahi and they were able to fry the sweet potato fries in the gf fryer. Both meals were great!

Got our fish cooked there Lazy Days style. As far as the gluten free option, it was okay. I didn’t feel sick from it but it was somewhat plain. They said they had gluten free Panko, but then it didn’t come out with that. They made sure to keep it separate from the other meals.

Went here to have our fish cooked that we caught. No dedicated fryer but was claiming nobody has ever gotten sick here. I mentioned that was not what was reported on this app and the server said “well nobody got sick from me”. Laughed when I asked if potato was wrapped in foil when cooked (it was so not sure why it was so funny?) I did not get sick - I will say my mom and I are both celiac and neither of us got sick but I would not trust it again. All the fish came out on the same platter and I was told this is the broiled one but literally touching the fried one so took pieces on the very edge. Like I said we didn’t get sick but still could have been contaminated on some level.

I had the GF coconut shrimp meal. Nothin came out marked GF. I am not celiac, but Allergic to Gluten. They do not have a separate fryer. So anything they say can be fried with a GF breading is still cooked in the same oil. I can only imagine the same for the GF pasta. Service was slow. Inside the waiter was in charge of 9 tables!

The host and waitress did not know what could be made gluten free. Did not feel comfortable eating there so we left.

Great food and plenty of choices. They have gluten free noodles and were kind enough to make flour free Alfredo for my daughter. She had really been wanting it for a while so I was so appreciative. They also made my sauce gluten free. Great place to catch the sunset too!!

We brought fish we had caught that day for the restaurant to cook. They did a fabulous job and the fish was delicious. Our waiter asked me if I carried Benadryl for my allergy (I had told him I needed to be gluten free due to celiac disease). He also wanted to bring all the fish out together family style and seemed upset when I told him my fish could not touch the fried fish. He also told me I could eat their key lime pie as long as I did not eat the crust. Clearly he is unaware of celiac restrictions. My fish did come separately and I had the steamed broccoli and a salad. Eating healthy gluten free meals in the Florida Keys is a risky business!

Not many selections besides fish or chicken. Waiter not helpful. I feel there could have been more options but the waiters were not informed and that was not reassuring for someone with celiacs.

Not many choices, all things fried together so stay away from the fried. Also the lazy days base is made with flour. Expected more choices. The view is great though. Had salad and chewy shrimp cocktail.

Our 6 year old celiac daughter had the jumbo shrimp cocktail and LOVED it! Our server checked with the chef to see what the exact ingredients were in the cocktail sauce. Great view, too!

They were very accommodating and the GF fried shrimp was great! They cooked it in a dedicated fryer and showed us the brand of GF crumbs that they use. He had spinach salad and rice with his meal and had extra shrimp added to his meal. He was a happy kid. Great meal all around...we had Grouper Portofino and it was amazing!

The only reason I'm giving it 2 stars if for the beautiful ocean view and borderline knowledge of gluten. Luckily we sat out side where it didn't reek of dirty dish water like the inside dining room. I ordered the yellowtail Hemingway special which might as well been fish soup. It was bland and the only thing edible was the side of asparagus microwaved almost into baby food. I called ahead to make sure they had gluten free options which I was assured they did but when I spoke to my server he was unable to tell me anything and managed to string some knowledge between ers and ums that pasta and bread were not safe (duh) In the end I was given a gluten free pile of vomit that was as unappealing in taste as it was in sight. Even my non gluten free family were unimpressed with there food. Not to mention the 1hr and 45 minute wait after being seated. Between 4 unhappy people and $170 later (4 drinks, 2 appetizers, 4 barely meals) we barely touched our plates and went home to make some delicious gluten free sandwiches.

Great family restaurant! My mom HAS to be gluten free because she has Celiac and Krohns disease. This place did amazingly well. Her coconut shrimp was breaded in Only coconut and did not make her sick. I would highly recommend this place for anyone who needs SERIOUS gluten free meals. I will be back for these reasons! Our server was a nice young man who was very patient with us and was very helpful in asking the cook questions.

Good food. Waiter told me to tell him what i wanted and chef would see if he could make it gf. I had the chicken which was breaded in gf crumbs and covered with scallions, tomatoes, and parmesan cheese. The whole dish was coated with key lime butter sauce. Great food, a bit on the rich side as the sauce was heavy. Overall a great choice for gf.
