Service was slow and incompetent. My order was the vegan meatball vegetable dish and coleslaw. Both were yummy and expensive. My daughter got a Caesar salad with the same vegan Italian dish. Her salad came with croutons! Yes, we explained before ordering. She became very ill and I did get some reactions. It was not busy and staff seems to be irritated to deal with allergies 😒 we were assured they understood celiac intolerance
They did have a gluten sensitive menu. Unfortunately, the bowl that I ordered came out with breaded, fried chicken not grilled. Once they remade the bowl it looked completely different, but my family was already done eating so I took it to go. On a positive, they did not charge me for the meal.
Last night I went to Christmas Eve dinner with my family at Lazy Dog. My partner added in a note to our reservation that I’m celiac and requested a gluten sensitive menu. When we arrived, it took them nearly 20 minutes to bring out the gluten free menu. I finally order a safe dish and I express to the server how important it is that my allergy is communicated to the kitchen and I gave them full reign to make any other accommodations to my dish to ensure it was safe for me to eat. As I’m eating my dish, I find pieces of their sautéed spinach (which contained wheat) in my green beans. Soooooo I was glutened. The manager listened to my concerns about lack of training or lack of awareness and comped our meal, but still not pleased with the overall lack of education around allergens
Yes limited options for Gluten sensitive menus but the food is good quality in my opinion. I had the Salmon it was rich and amazing, it was so moist and flakey but the char held it together nicely. It didn’t have much seasoning on it but the fish is such good quality I think it would take away from it. The sides I had were the wilted spinach that was simple and mashed red potatoes that were just right, creamy but not over beaten there was still soft chunks. My favorite meal here so far, can’t wait to try more.
Very little on the menu for GF and I was told the fries are absolutely not safe as they are beer battered, so opted for a side of fruit (which was hilariously just a huge slice of admittedly very delicious watermelon).
When the food arrived, the (as I had been told) very glutenous fries were laid directly on top of the burger to where they had melted into the cheese. I was there for an interview so I didn’t return the food which was my mistake. I had a horrific migraine after eating there which is one of my symptoms.
