Woman working there and chef were both extremely helpful. Had the fried fish, shrimp, onion rings and fries. All were delicious. Such a treat to eat these out!! Would definitely go there again. Highly recommend. They also were able to accommodate my latex allergy.

If your in Vegas it's worth the trip here. All the batter is gluten free so you can have pretty much anything. Hadn't had an onion ring or fish and chips in ages and they were very good.

Fantastic service and food was amazing. I've had GF fried food before, but none beats Lazy Joe's! I came all the way from Utah JUST to try this place. Worth every penny, and the employees were great. I love that it's not fancy. It's down to earth and delicious.

Lazy Joe's Fish and Chips has been open for the past month with a new menu. Still the same gluten free fried chicken straps, wings, and seafood. Gave been coming here since Jan 2015 and have never gotten sick. Live the food!

Such a great find in the city. Not exceptional amount of GF restaurants in Las Vegas but finding this one was so wonderful for me First time since being gluten free I was able to eat mozzarella sticks. the BEST! Fish and chips sooo good. Everything I ate was wonderful. the non gluten free person with me equally loved the place. Thank you for providing a safe environment for GF foodies!!

Made the trip to Lazy Joe's twice during our visit to Las Vegas. just 15 minutes or so from our hotel on the strip. We sampled almost everything from the mozzarella sticks, haddock, popcorn shrimp, fried shrimp and chicken. It was all delicious - a dream come true for a celiac who loves fried food.

so I've tried to go twice once on Saturday night about 7 because the website said their open until 7 and I got there and it was closed. it closed at 6pm. Next time was today 1/15/16 @12:45 and again closed for repair. I check Internet first because I was coming from Cheyenne/215. So despite how excited I was to have gluten free fish n chips I will find them else where. Totally unprofessional

Joe is really nice and VEARY helpful. We ate a steak house on the strip last night and spent $90 on dinner. I wasn't even full So I found this place. We spent $40. And I am stuffed and still have food on my plate. It was amazing. We will be eating here whenever we come to Vegas. LOVE THIS PLACE.

Just plain awesome. Thank you, Joe! Not only was the food fresh and fabulous, the guys were great and gave me lots of other ideas for places to go. Can't recommend it enough. 2/2015: I dined here again this year, and it seems to maybe have changed ownership?? They now at least share the space with a Mediterranean food place and the Mediterranean guys working there that night had no idea what a gluten already was and tried to convince me that the wheat couscous was something I could eat. I stuck with what I've gotten the past few times I have eaten there and didn't feel great afterwards. Sad face. Maybe Joe was just on vacation??

it may be set in a las vegas strip mall, but lazy Joe's serves up nevada's best options for gluten-free seafood eats. everything from coconut shrimp to fried bay scallops to fried oysters are made to order in a special gluten-free breading and served with fries, coleslaw and a hush puppy.

This review (3/2015) is in follow up to my original review. While the food was as always gluten free, I have a few gripes. One issue is the fish falls apart before you can even dip it in the tartar sauce. Another is that the food is extremely greasy. I have a stomach ache now... The kind I get from greasy foods. I don't remember if I had this issue before but at that time I ate a lot of greasy foods.. Since then I've been eating healthier and now this has occurred. Bummer.

Wow! This place is amazingly delicious! And Gluten Free! We had the onion rings, scallops, oysters, and clams! Hand cut fries and homemade coleslaw. Clams were our favorite. All the sauces are made in house too! They are very aware of GF, separate fryers and all. If you're looking to be a bit naughty and eat some long awaited GF fried seafood- this is your place! Very tasty- they even have a GF Blooming Onion. Check out their menu. Nice and fresh seafood- not bits n pieces in batter. Super friendly staff too!!

The first time I ate here I was very, very cautious, but after speaking with the owner and how he took the time to explain his research and training on Celiac and gluten I thought I would give it a try and boy I was NOT disappointed one bit! It was fabulous and I did not get ill at all...now fast forward to this most recent trip...still delicious and my sister-in-law and her hubby loved it and said it didn't even taste gluten free! Homerun! I'm so glad we don't have this place by my house or I would be 800 pounds! Thank you Lazy Joe's Fish & Chips for making this Celiac very, very, very happy again! Tears rolling down my cheeks with joy! GlutenFreeWoman.com

We are in Las Vegas on a family vacation. Having two children with celiac disease, most of our vacations are in a hotel or condo with a kitchen so I can cook for the boys. Before we arrived I did some research and found lazy joes. I knew we would be safe since there is no gluten in the friers. Home run!!!! Amazing! The kids haven't had onion rings or mozzarella sticks in 6 years. The fry was light and not greasy. The owner and the staff were so knowledgeable and so helpful. We have a new Vegas favorite! And, my husband who can eat gluten loves to indulge in fish and chips. He loved lazy joes fish and chips. It was gluten deprivation, it was plain delicious. Good times.

Very good food, except I wish fries were better, a little flimsy. Another reason why it doesn't get top rating, aside from the owner who is very pleasant, everyone else has a dry demeanor. Unwelcoming when you arrived. Beware, the menu is big a seems unorganized, and they are no help in guiding you through or suggesting an item, instead both times I've been there, I guess I didn't order fast enough because they told me to take the menu and go sit down and when I'm ready to come back in order. Personally with that attitude I wanted to walk right out if there.

Amazing! The best cod I have ever had, even before I was Celiacs! Great people and great food. Best part: no reaction! I will definitely be going back :) Make sure to look at the daily specials! If you happen to make an order exactly like the daily special but don't mention the "special" of the day, it will cost you more $$ and the owner is snarky and thinks it's funny that he got over on you. And he'll let you know it! Not a very good business practice

I was soooooo excited to eat fish & chips after reading the reviews that this was my first stop after i arrived from the airport. I asked my bellman about how much a cab would be from The Venetian - he said it would be $12-$15 each way - he said that is probably more than your meal there..... Well he was right that the cab was more than my meal- waaaaaaaayyyy more!! My cab was $35 EACH WAY!!! But as i share that so others can plan their budgets - for me it was still SOOOOOOOOO WORTH IT!!!! I ordered the appetizer plate & ate friend mozzarella cheese sticks for the first time in 9 years!!!! I had friend zucchini- onion rings- And then i had the most delicious cod & Halibut!! Its painful to write this review back in Colorado because now that I've found this place it will be soooo missed! They sell their GF flour blend & ship it... so ill do my best to re-create this meal--- but I would drive there tonight if i lived in Vegas!!! Thankfully i have a very supportive & understanding husband who was working at his conference when i went - & wasn't freaked out by $70 in transportation to get here- certainly a splurge cab ride from the strip- but still totally worth it!!!

He is super cool and knowledgable. You don't find many places like this or many people like him very often anymore! His family has been doing gluten free since before anyone knew what it was! This place was wonderful. From the food to the personnel that work there, it was an outstanding experience all around. We traveled from Southern California and was in search of a good GF restaurant and the reviews pointed us to this restaurant. I can be a pain to get there, but it is worth the time it takes to get there. About 95% of the menu is GF and the taste is beyond my expectations. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone that is GF. A Vegas diamond in the rough.
