It's a great place with same ambiance but a no-go for celiacs. You feel like a burden, very few gf options and gf bread is charged with an extra cost.

How would you rate the taste and quality of the gluten-free food you tried?

Called beforehand to make sure it was okay. They assured me it was and when I was there they started making difficult noises when asked about gluten-free options. They made me feel like a burden. Eventually I ordered a curry and it was very delicious, but definitely not enough for lunch, despite being quite pricey. Most of the menu is not available gluten-free, they had a mini hamburger menu, for example, for which I needed to pay 6 (!) Euros extra for the gluten-free bread. I would suggest to skip this place and go to one of the many others places Leeuwarden has to offer, who are nice and want to help you have a nice time.

I ate a GF shrimp curry here with gluten free pasta here that was really flavourful. Quite excellent. I was with four friends who didn't require GF. I had made the reservation beforehand asking about GF availability. I was told that on their menu little signs regarding allergens gave relevant info. and all staff were knowledgable on such aspects of their food. I will definitely return to this restaurant again.
