They had like no gluten free options. 1 of the 2 options he said could be made gluten free was the steak frites yet the fries weren’t gluten free. He said he could give me rice instead and I excepted to get the salad that came on the side as well but when he brought the food the steak had no sauce (was supposed to be a butter parsley sauce) and he just gave me plain white rice. He then said the salad had gluten too so I had to pay 26 euros for plain piece of steak and plain white rice.

When I mentioned I was “sans gluten” the waiter produced a grid that listed allergens on the top and dishes on the left. You could pick a dish and read across to see if it had gluten, milk, eggs etc. I did ask the waiter to confirm the table was correct. He was confident and I was ok. I had the beef bourguignon and escargot appetizer. Both were very good and the service was lovely. We had a friendly and attentive waiter.
