Has gluten free pancakes for breakfast and gluten free buns (which don’t taste bad at all). Chefs come out to take to you about you allergy or food restrictions and are very accommodating. Perfect for those who are and aren’t gluten free. They even put a purple flag on your plate and the chef brings it right to you. Very safe! Great experience!

The chef comes out when you mark an allergy and talks with you to make sure you can eat. Yeah, he’s a little grumpy but you won’t get sick which is nice! The crispy chicken sandwich is really quite good and was my favorite meal at the park. The American breakfast is fine. Butter beer is all gluten free and my favorite was frozen.

So good and safe! You have to mark your order with an allergy add-on. The chef will come out to your table and talk to you prior to starting your food. I got the chicken sandwich with a gf bun and it was delicious! Didn’t get sick after.

Not a lot of gluten free options but the chicken sandwich worked. Mobile ordered and made sure to add “allergen note” as an item to the order. Chef came out to chat with us before making and delivering our food, with the GF item marked and separate from the rest of our order. Appreciate the well themed atmosphere.

We have eaten here a few times in the past, twice on our current vacation. The only meals that are GS (they mark items as Gluten sensitive) are the chicken sandwich and Fish pie. The chicken sandwich on the GF bun is pretty good. I heard it was dry but that has not been my experience. The sandwich comes with roasted potato wedges that are quite good. I also got a side salad and it was nice. Tender greens with beets on the side and a seasoned tomato. Last year I tried the fish pie and that was also good. It has mashed potatoes on top as the crust. They have all the Harry Potter themed drinks (we have tried them all) as well as Butterbeer ice cream and Butterbeer or chocolate potted cream. We were told the Butterbeer potted cream is GS, so tried that last year. It was ok but not great. This year we ordered on the Universal app and marked Allergy. A chef came out to speak with us before making our food. The food came out with a purple pick, purple is their color for gluten free. I have seen people post that there was a long wait, I have not experienced this but we tend to eat at “off” times to avoid lines.

Just like all the other universal restaurants, when you add an allergen note to your order in the app a chef will come review your order with you. Same chef delivers your food with allergen toothpick in it. Not many options here, but the chicken sandwich was a little more dressed up than in other lunch spots. Atmosphere is almost identical to the three broomsticks.

My son has celiac. Eating here was a great experience. We spoke with staff members before entering about what options were safe and they also recommended us to order from our Universal app and note a food allergy. The chef came out to review our needs and explain how they handle preparation of our food to prevent cross contamination. No issues and the food was great.

Ate here for lunch two days while at Universal Studios! Located in Diagon Alley. Felt very comfortable after talking to Chef- ate chicken sandwich on GF bun, with fried potatoes- all GF, dedicated fryer. The only other GF option was the fisherman’s pie. I ate the chicken sandwich two days. Order at counter instead of mobile ordering, chef came out at my request both days and said he would personally make the order.

We had 3 chicken sandwiches with different toppings and they got the orders right. There was an issue with the butter beer but they fixed it immediately. Great experience.

Disappointing experience. Mobile Ordering in place today. I ordered the chicken sandwich with the gluten free bun and marked it on the app as an allergy notice. Told the hostess about my food being marked as an allergy and she said the chef would come to our table. After a long wait, my food was brought out. It was brought out separately with a gluten free bun, as ordered. Disappointed I was not able to talk to the chef, as I had been told. This left me unsure about there being a separate fryer for the fries and additional toppings on the sandwich being gluten free.

We stopped here for lunch with celiac son. Ordering is mobile, so we had someone come over who brought out a chef. He had an allergen book, and we discussed cross-contamination. My son chose the chicken sandwich which came with bacon, cheese, and fries. The Nima sensor detected gluten. We had used a tiny piece of bun, cheese, fries, bacon, and chicken so are not sure where the gluten was detected. We changed the chicken sandwich for fisherman’s pie which passed for no gluten. Multiple staff came over to apologize and check on my son. It may have just been an off day as others have reviewed that they have eaten here with success.

In years past, Disney has far exceeded Universal in terms of awareness, measures against cross contamination, as well as consideration for ingredients that contain common allergens. Not now! Universal staff was knowledgeable and immediately signaled for the chef when they learned of our gluten and dairy allergies. The chef came to speak directly to us, to advise whether our selections were safe and made adjustments based on the normal cooking and presentation of items compared to what was safe for us. The chef prepared the meal personally and brought it out to us. Highly recommend!

We ate breakfast here on our trip to Universal. My daughter had the kids American breakfast that included eggs, sausage, breakfast potatoes, a pancake, and croissant. They were able to substitute the regular pancake for a gluten free pancake and extra sausage for the croissant. We alerted the cashier that there was a gluten allergy and she brought out the chef to take our order. The food was very good and my daughter with Celiacs had no issues afterwards.

It really depends on your order taker. We had a guy who either hated his job or was indifferent to our request for a GF meal. My son is celiac, and I had to tell him to put allergy in the order. Absent me pleading with him, I think he would have put it in as just a GF bun on the one item that can be made GF for lunch - a chicken sandwich. We had this meal included with a Hogwarts package. I would not seek this place out as a good celiac friendly place for my family.

The staff was AMAZING the cook came and talked with me personally gave me plenty of options, all burgers there are available on gf bread so I got a grilled chicken sandwich (they offered by less too if your keto)and I held the cheese bc I’m dairy free! The sandwiches came with fries that were safe for both celiac and being gluten free I asked but once again, though not on the menu steamed veggies were an option along with a side salad for substitute sides! Staff was attentive to food safety as celiac and ordered the listed gf chicken sandwich. Came with side salad gf dressing. They answered all my questions and confirmed with chef in the back. I asked for new cutlery as well and they were very accommodating, stating they take food allergies serious. The cutlery tray sits on your assigned table. It was great to eat something with my kids at universal. I knew ahead of time not a lot of options, pack yourself snacks. The atmosphere was great. No issues.

The Leaky Cauldron is the main restaurant in Diagon Alley that offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner. You order at a counter and your food it brought to your table. We ordered the chicken sandwich on a gluten free bun, and it was delicious. You will need to alert the staff to your restrictions when you place your order so they can prep the food accordingly.

I had the American breakfast and the staff was sure to label the meal as gluten free and took good care. They let me know the sausages had gluten in the casings, so basically the breakfast was without croissant or sausage but still included eggs, extra bacon and potatoes. A bit expensive though in the end
