Review of Lena lower east side

Review

Lēna is a French restaurant that tends to become more lively as the night progresses. If you want to dine in peace and quiet, I recommend visiting in the early evening.

Generally, when I picture French food I’m always a little worried about cross contamination. Although they don’t have a gf specific menu nor are their gf foods marked, they seem to be safe as I’ve yet to have a reaction to the gf foods recommended by our server.

I recommend trying the charcuterie board, boquerones, steak tartare, and ceviche. It’s a good amount of food for two though you might have room for one more dish. I would also recommend having a drink with dinner, they’re great after a long day though a little strong.
