It’s fast food but different. I had gluten free chicken nuggets and a Thai Curry. I did not have a burger but the have them and other dishes like meatball etc. It’s food in a box and you can take away or eat in. They have wine. It was pretty good overall.
Gluten free chicken nuggets, pastries, and more!!
GF. Chicken. Nuggets. All I need to stay.
Menu extensive, staff very knowledgeable. They cleaned the area down before making the burgers. Very happy to have such a range of food and great service.
Great chicken nuggets and fries, price is fair
Recently they’ve been less amenable to coeliacs and will only declare NGCI officially. Precautions in place and staff knowledgable but still slightly disappointing
Through me out and said they don’t serve celiacs. It was very embarrassing. Also now have sandwiches on gluten free bread that say in the fine print may contain gluten.
Almost entirely focused on gluten free food. Very tasty menu options.
Tante scelta gluten free per i celiaci
Wonderful meal. Fast service. Multiple gluten free options as well as baked fries!
Airport food is always tricky for me even though I vigilantly advocate for myself in trying to stay gluten free. Leon at the Amsterdam airport offers many nutritious gluten free choices. And, although it’s not a gluten free facility, it was safe for my consumption. Good food, and many options.
Gluten free waffle fries. Enough said. :)
I have been eating at Leon's for about 10 years and have never had a reaction. The food is really good value for money. Gluten free options are very clearly marked. It is a life saver at railway stations like Kings Cross.
I’ve eaten at a few branches of Leon, including this one and the one in Brighton and Heathrow successfully as a Coeliac with a dairy allergy. I find the staff extremely knowledgeable about allergies and I’ve never had a reaction from eating there. The gluten free chicken nuggets and vegan Aioli are so good! As are many of the curry/rice boxes. Very good fast food at decent prices for London, plus the children enjoy it too.
As a traveler visiting London from the US, my comment is that Leon is a Godsend. Clearly marked items as GF and a knowledgeable staff make Leon a worry-free place to eat breakfast. Infinitely better than US take away for those who need GF.
Great knowledge of allergy’s Great to have the option of gluten free chicken nuggets! However it is essentially a GF form of takeaway and therefore I think a bit over priced
Tons of healthy, gluten free options, including dessert (obviously not as healthy). Ask if you have food allergies up front and menu is clearly labeled. Had the sweet potato falafel and the kale salad. I didn't love it, but would come back to try other things on the menu. Came in around lunch time and it stayed busy.
The food was so good! When I saw it was takeaway fast food I was a bit skeptical but this far exceeded my expectations! Almost everything on the menu was GF. Had the chicken satay and Thai curry and my husband and I shared the two. Both delicious! Went at lunchtime and it was busy but very fast. Also lots of vegetarian and vegan options. Very well marked menu. Good prices. About 6.50-8.50 pounds per entree which was a perfect sized portion in my opinion. Would go here again in a heartbeat if I’m in the area. Very close to both Westminster abbey and buckingham palace (kind of in between).
Allergens are clearly marked on the menu, there are plenty of gluten free food and desert options and once we finished ordering the cashier asked about allergens. We had the breakfast on our last morning in London and it was amazing!
They have gluten free chicken nuggets. an unusual treat.
Clearly marked what is glutenfree. Food is naturally fast food. Could be more warm when served.
Apparently certified by the celiac association. I had the sweet potato falafel which came with rice and cabbage salad. It was fairly tasty though not nearly as good as regular falafel. It was filling and felt healthy, though.
Very nice experience, they don’t have a dedicated kitchen, however the take care to avoid cross contamination. you can not leave without trying the nuggets
Staff now claims everything can be cross contaminated and recommends celiac avoid it.
It always used to be a safe option but they don’t appear to show the same care and attention to cross contamination as other outlets. They now have a sign up saying « we work with allergens « and the last twice I’ve been glutened. Such a shame as it used to be our go to place !
Large warning signs say they do not guarantee anything is allergen free but on closer questioning that is misleading as they do have a dedicated GF kitchen area. I've never been made ill there but one can't like those signs.
Great healthy fast food. Many gluten-free options. If you ask they will do their best to prevent cross contamination. They do have a warning sign that they cannot guarantee it as they have an open kitchen.
Good healthy fast food in Kings Cross Station. Allergens (incl gluten) clearly listed, but it’s fast food so I can’t be sure on the cross contamination, but I’ve eaten here several times with no reaction.
You know what? This is going to be my fallback restaurant in London. This fast food is fresh, with many gluten-free and vegetarian options to choose from. It's popular, so there are lines during the lunch period. There is limited seating. The service is very pleasant and kind of fun. Yeah, it's not the chippy fast food London experience, but it's definitely the new London fast food experience. As far as the food itself goes, it's above average. There are loads of veg I what I had, and it wasn't too salty. While I wouldn't write home Bout it unto itself, I will definitely tell you about it, and will let anyone who is gf know about it. Since the chain is all over the place, it's easy to fall back on it.
I’ve eaten in Leon many times, it’s fast food but healthy with good choices and all marked on the menu, I love to fly through Heathrow terminal 2 so I can lunch in Leon and take one back to Zurich for dinner, I also take a few brownies for the people I work with.
Best quality fast casual food! Pretty large eat-in area too. Nearly all allergens are marked on the menus and menu board. Plenty of GF/DF, vegetarian and vegan options, and so delicious! I got the Chicken Satay Hot Box which included brown rice and a kale/pea salad and excellent DF sauce. Optional GF seasoned waffle fries were delicious too! Healthier fountain drinks, kombucha, and coffee. I went for lunch but they serve interesting breakfasts too. So good!!!
Many items are GF and clearly shown on menu. Menu has a disclaimer regarding cross contamination- so beware. Tasty and cost effective.
I've eaten here a few times, sadly they are not very sure about cross contamination. Out of the 5 times I've eaten here i only once felt a bit sick after
I’ve eaten at other Leon’s, but felt a little nervous at this one. At this one I was advised to stick with a salad (which was yummy!) and not get a rice bowl. Not sure if this location operates any differently, but Maybe they were just trying to cover themselves, because it’s obviously not a dedicated facility. Great food still though!
Their food is so great! I had the Moroccan meatballs and fries.
They’re not too good with cross contamination, I got very sick after eating there.
This is an awesome little lunch-y spot with healthy fast food, all GF and V menu items clearly marked on the wall menu. Lots of options... Meatless meatballs, chicken satay, burgers and GF fries, yummy meal “boxes” with rice and fresh slaw and salads. Also great coffee, GF desserts (my celiac kids were thrilled), super quick service and pleasant eating area. Would come again in a flash if back in the area!
Very friendly and helpful staff as I needed dairy free as well. I loved the Moroccan meatballs and they gave me some vegan aioli on the side to try. My husband had the Thai green chicken curry and liked his as well. We had it takeaway and walked over to Kensington garden to eat as it was a lovely day and it was still hot when we found a bench. Lots of things to try there so we’ll go again. Very helpful staff.
Excellent quick lunch. I had the chicken peanut satay box with coleslaw and it was excellent. It was refreshing to have so many GF options to pick from. There was even an assortment of bars and other sweets.
Leon’s have a fast food restaurant in the train station part of the airport. Nice place to get a quick bite of more healthy fast food.
Some really good gf options here. Store from UK, now also in Utrecht. Really nice if youre hungry at the Utrecht Centraal station, since there arent a lotta options at the station itself
This is a great fast food restaurant with many gluten free options. It was recommended to me by an airport employee and I was so happy to find a place I could feel safe in eating. We were there for a late dinner after we missed our connecting flight.
Not very good.. I got a chicken box and cold brew and the rice is crunchy and the chicken was not accurately depicted in the menu photo.. not good. The cold brew had a bunch of coffee grounds in the bottom. Not pleasant
Fast food chain that you will see all over London. Great for grabbing something quickly or later at night. They label everything that's gf/df and even have a brownie option for dessert! The fries are gf and they have salad and hot box options!
Leon is a natural foods takeaway shop by the south Kensington metro. The menu has 'gf' markings on the items available without gluten. I enjoyed the meatballs in sauce over rice and my non-gf hubby liked his lamb wrap. I also loved the gf lemon drizzle dessert. The Kale salad was so-so, as Kale really needs to sit in the dressing for an hour to break down its bitterness, not served raw. I will try to upload a photo. We will def be back!
