Separate fryer! Very knowledgeable and accommodating!
Really good food! I get the (veggie) beanie burger with a gluten free bun everytime, it can be made as any of their burgers, or as a custom burger order. Dedicated fryer for fries. Staff is helpful, and knowledgeable, feel free to ask questions, and let them know you have a "gluten allergy". Shockingly affordable too.

the sickest i have ever gotten from eating out in the 5 years i’ve had celiac. i had to go to the hospital and urgent care twice. if you have celiac DO NOT GO TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT. it has been over a month and i still am not functioning properly as a person! protect yourself and make a burger at home.
Here passing through and had the most amazing GF experience. 2 words - Separate Fryer. Gluten free buns that didn’t disintegrate (itkyk). Knowledgeable waitress in regards to Celiac Disease. Friendly people. Could not recommend this place more!!!

Good was soooo good! They were great and our daughter's celiac. They asked if the gf bun was for allergy or preference. They also have a gf frier. Will definitely go back!
Adorable little restaurant with a variety of delicious burgers. Husband is gf and egg free — lots of options for him plus the dedicated fryers allowed him to have fries.
Great experience. Food was very good. 3 Separate dedicated gluten free fryers. And 1 not gf. Only things he couldn’t have were the fried pickles, onion rings or fish. Everything else was gf. Waitress was very knowledgeable and trusted them.
The bean burger was super tasty. My daughter absolutely loved the fries and the fryer is dedicated to the fries. Fun waitress!!
Took the kids here last week and our experience was great. Waitress answered all my gluten free questions and the quality of the food was phenomenal. One of the best burgers I’ve ever had. The kids loved the gluten free buns and french fries.
I was really impressed with their attention to detail. When I asked what the gf bun was made with ( I have an oat and rice allergy too), the waitress when to the freezer to get the box and showed me the variety of rices it was made with. We both laughed. The burger was served on lettuce for me…it was delicious. At the end she brought out two cookies but warned me they were likely unsafe for me, but my partner was able to eat them. I will go there again.
Best burger I have ever had! The GF bun was so tasty, not the usual Udis bun you get at restaurants.
It was wonderful! Burgers were fantastic! The server was very Knowledgeable and super helpful! The truffle fries were fantastic! Husband had spicy fries they were good! My youngest child (not gluten free) had grilled cheese and liked it! We will be back for sure! I feel pretty secure!!

Lexie’s is always a safe bet for us - careful servers, fries are safe, gf buns available. Service has been really affected by Covid, so allow extra time (especially with takeout).

Wait staff always specifies if it’s a preference or allergy to make sure cross contamination doesn’t occur! Wish they had dairy free cheese for burgers and other sandwiches. They use Udi’s GF buns which are delish. They made sure to specify that the kitchen didn’t put butter on mine because of my lactose intolerance!
My boyfriend is celiac and it was nice to be able to go out and have a meal with him. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. We’ve been to the one in Dover as well and both times he has had no reaction. The cookies they give you at the end of the meal are not** safe for celiacs but the waitress notified us of that.
Thanks to all of the previous Celiac reviewers for pointing us to this wonderful place and to the herb aioli fries! Delicious cheeseburger cooked on a separate, dedicated space. Burger came up all smiles on Nima. Per our waitress, the buns are no longer Udi's(yayyyy!). The new buns still taste like your average GF bun, they're nothing special. Very friendly and knowledgeable service and very reasonable prices. As others have said, definitely get the herb aioli fries!
This place was amazing! Wonderful service and super gluten friendly. Im never a fan of gluten free bread so it was slightly spongy and dense but that's all gf breads the burger was delicious and the fries were amazing. Great place!! Also, we gave up our table for a family and sat on a booth and the family bought our beers so even the customers are so friendly!!
Great place to get a GF burger and French Fries! I didn’t get sick following the meal and the bun wasn’t dry like other places I’ve been.
Let me just say. OH MY GOD. So so so so so good! They have gluten free buns (that actually stay together) their fries are GF. HIGHLY reccomend the Bistro fries, the herbed aioli is amazing! 10/10 would recommend and will be back!
Really amazing burgers and service! Their herb aioli is the bomb! Will definitely go back when next in the area. Myself and my 2 daughters all have celiac and it was a very pleasant meal with no contamination!
Two words....Bistro fries.... Worth the trip. The herb aioli sauce is a gentle tribute to taste. So sorry I didn’t think to top my burger with it too!
FANTASTIC STAFF AND FOOD!!! My fiancé and I stopped by out of desperation for a bite to eat while we were visiting Portsmouth and it was the best little surprise ever. I am the most paranoid celiac about eating out, and for the first time in probably 5+ years I felt comfortable enough to eat a burger and fries like a normal person in a restaurant. It was DELICIOUS and I didn’t get sick!! I highly, highly recommend you visit this awesome little spot!
Waitress knew all about celiac disease and assured me that everything would be kept separate. GET FRIES! (They have a dedicated frier.) I had a regular burger with fries and herbed aioli. It was delicious and satisfying for this Celiac! If not sensitive to dairy, try the truffle fries! My friend got them and they’re great.
Amazing fries (separate frier) and burgers are delicious. The buns fall apart, but still good and safe for celiac.
A lunch worth waiting for! Dedicated fryer and UDI’s buns for an additional charge. The server was knowledgeable and on top of making sure the toppings on the burger were safe. Great experience despite the wait to get in.
The staff was incredibly knowledgeable about gluten allergies and has a separate dedicated GF fryer. This may be the best GF burger and fries I’ve ever had. Don’t miss out on this tiny place. It’s a wonder!

Super yummy burgers and fries! They have Udi's gluten free hamburger buns, a dedicated fryer, and all their sauces are gluten free.
They do a great job with prep and have a gluten-free fryer for fries! You can even get a shake. However remind them you don’t want the cookie! That is how takeout can go wrong. Eat in they leave the cookie in the table.
Request a GF bun and ask to have your hamburger cooked separately. Fries are awesome! I think they are very careful here- my child and I both had a great GF experience!
Read a lot of great reviews about this place so we were excited to try it when we were up in Maine. The place itself was kind of funky and cool but burgers were just ok, made me wonder what the fuss was about honestly.
When we were leaving the waitress put a cookie in my to go box and said "wait, gluten free", took it out, brushed the crumbs out and handed me the box. Sounds like a minor detail but it's enough cross contamination to make a celiac sick.

This restaurant has plenty of food for those with gluten allergies and those without. The fries are amazing and the burger tasted great. I would recommend this place to anyone who likes burgers. The server was very knowledgeable and helpful bc there are a few things on menu that are not gf. Very family friendly environment.
The chicken burger was very good. Totally tasty gf bun. I built my own burger which is a great option. The waitress answered my questions and allayed my concerns. Fries were good but little too salty. Definitely recommend!
