Food is as advertised, everything but ravioli is available GF. Had the chicken Parmasean wow super excellent. Recommend highly just check the game schedule for Celtics and Bruins to plan for timing and parking.
Amazing food and service. Almost everything can be gluten free except ravioli. They even have gf beer. We stopped a late lunch. We had meatballs, choco frito, and crab cakes. If we were in town longer we would come several times.
98% of our menu has a gluten free option. All fried items are naturally gluten free, so there is NO cross contamination at all. The only 2 items that do not have a gluten free option are Lobster Ravioli and Cheese Ravioli. However, if you are looking for GF lobster options, I would highly recommend the Lobster Carbonara or the Mariscada. Additionally, all of our gluten free pasta is prepared on a designated cooking station on the stove. Lastly, we also offer gluten free bread with your meal so you can enjoy dipping it in oil and balsamic!
Read the reviews and headed over kind of late. (10pm). I had the Pappardelle Bolognese. It was fabulous! Would never know it was gf. Pasta was thick, and chewy and the sauce was rich and delicious. Just great. Had a GF flag and the staff were careful to make sure it was.
Excellent experience.
(When I called on the phone at 945, to see if kitchen was still open, the person who answered said no. But we were heading that way anyway so we checked. Lo and behold, open)
Libertine was excellent. My wife (Celiac) and I loved their fried cheese curds and this location boasts 98% of their menu being GF, or able to be made GF. My wife had the gnocchi & I ordered they Lobster Carbonara as GF so we could share. Both entrees were incredible. I would highly recommend Libertine!
Staff was amazing and food was absolutely delicious!! They can make everything but one item gf! Gnocchi and fried cheese curds were amazing!
THANKS SO MUCH!
A great restaurant with tons of gluten free options (the menu says everything other than the ravioli can be GF). Had the meatballs and scallops, which were delicious, and a couple of drinks (that used GF alcohol). Staff was helpful and attentive (including bringing bottles for ingredient checks). Will definitely be back every time I’m in Boston!
Thank you! We can't wait to host you again.
Absolutely DELICIOUS FOOD. Even had gf bread service
Thank you very much!
While everything is gluten free nothing is particularly good. Their table bread is cut up udis buns and all of their food is pretty flavorless. It’s also pretty pricey for how bad it is! The frozen ravioli at Whole Foods and a jarred sauce is better and way more affordable. I also don’t understand how they say everything fried is gluten free when clearly their chicken parm gluten and gluten free is very different and both fried.
I'm so sorry you had a bad experience as it is our goal to please our guests. I 100% stand by the fact that anything that goes in our fryer is naturally gluten free. Thus ALL chicken and veal parm/milanese is gluten free. So, all guests are served the same whether they are GF of it or not.
Good food and a lot of options. I got the meatballs and salad.
Thank you very much!
Eat anywhere but here. I have never been so sick from eating at a restaurant before and I have had celiac for 15 years. Not only was I glutened here but I also got food poisoning which resulted in me going to the hospital. The waiter was dismissive when I told him about my gluten and dairy allergy which should have been my first red flag. They are not attentive to allergies at all despite how they advertise themselves. The restaurant is dirty which likely played a role in the food poisoning. On top of everything the food is probably the worst meal I have ever had in Boston. There are many better, safer, cleaner restaurants in Boston to go to, avoid Libertine at all costs. Extremely disappointing since they market themselves as so safe.
Great GF Food, good atmosphere with amazing staff
Thank you!
Staff extremely knowledgeable about gluten free and safety procedures. I got the gluten free chicken Parmesan. The best chicken parm I’ve ever had! They also surprised me with complimentary crème brûlée since it was my birthday. I will be going back to try more on their menu!
Thank you very much!
Came in here after seeing a great review from one of my fav GF bloggers. Almost every single thing on the menu can be made gluten free - and they have a dedicated fryer with strict cross contamination procedures. I had the bolognese and they even bring out a bowl of GF bread beforehand. A must stop in Boston!
Thank you very much!
The best GF experience Italian fusion I’ve ever had! Staff knowledgeable and very patient answering celiac-related questions. We literally licked the plates clean! No reaction!! Love love love
Thank you very much!
Best Italian food in Boston by far. Chicken parm and meatballs are a MUST. I will be dreaming of this meal. As a celiac it was so nice to not worry. Staff is highly educated in allergies and food comes out with the allergy stick as well
Thank you very much!
Two gf beer options, all food except the ravioli is either gf or can be made gf. Good food!
Thank you very much!
From the start our service was outstanding! The minute we sat at our table we were informed of all the gf options which is almost the WHOLE menu. Our server was so informed and aware of celiac disease making me feel so safe and comfortable within this restaurant. My boyfriend got the gnocchi gluten free (even though he is not gluten free) and absolutely loved it. I got the Tagliatelle Funghi which was truly amazing. Definitely a must try restaurant if you’re in the north end.
Thank you very much!
Ate here for dinner on a Friday night. Felt great being in a place that is extremely gluten free and aware of allergies (they asked as soon as we sat down). But overall the service was generally pretty cold and the food was just okay. We tried two separate dishes, one Italian and one Portuguese and the Portuguese entree was significantly better. I would summarize as just “okay.”
So sorry you were displeased as it is out goal to satisfy our customers. Please email me directly in hopes to make ammends.
98% of food could be made gluten free! Dedicated fryer, delicious pasta and great gluten free bread!
Fantastic experience! Food was cooked perfectly, ambiance was fabulous! Highly recommend!
Thank you very much!
Is this safe for celiacs? Yes. Can they accommodate Dairy-Free. NO!
None of the bread, pasta of gnocchi are diary free and they told me the only possible things for me to eat were vegetarian risotto and steak (no mashed potatoes). It seems weird that they wouldn't even try to modify anything on the menu as it could have been done very easily. Service was horrible. No one even tried to make it right. There are much better options in the North End.
Excellent! Very knowledgeable about cross contamination. Waitress asked upon seating if there were any allergies. Everything on menu can be made gluten free except ravioli. Beautiful restaurant. Celiac in party did not get sick (she got her own gf roll & oil dip). Non-celiacs extremely pleased with meals. Will absolutely be back! Thanks @philhatesgluten on Instagram for the recommendation!!
Thank you very much!
Great experience. staff were extremely knowledgeable regarding gluten. Everything was amazing. Little expensive but 100% worth it.
98% of menu is gluten free or can be made gluten free. I felt very safe eating here. Gluten free bread for table , I got chicken Marsala over mashed potato’s. However the service was terrible. We waited a very long time for food and server wasn’t around much. Could have just been an odd service night for them but I would plan extra time.
98% of the menu can be made GF — everything besides the ravioli. i definitely felt safe eating here. but that being said, quality isn’t totally there. bread served before the meal was just udis rolls cut into pieces. chicken parm was good, pasta was kind of firm and probably could have been cooked more. service was also interesting….i’m the only one who eats GF in my family and my mom’s meal came out gluten free even though she told the waitress she didnt need the meal GF. when she asked the waitress why her meal was GF she shrugged it off and said it tasted the same anyway. no offer to send it back and make it not GF … idk just weird vibes here and food wasnt even all that. also when the dining room is full its LOUD. like couldn’t understand a word you were saying loud. better off going to capo or across the street to famiglia giorgios in my opinion
Woof. Just because it’s safe doesn’t always mean it’s tasty! Yes, this place is safe for Celiacs, there’s no doubt about that, but the quality of the food was not there AT ALL. The highlight of the night was the bread rolls we got before the entrees, which were a little sweet and piping hot. From then on, it was not a good time. We ordered the fried calamari as an appetizer and it tasted powdery, probably from the starch of the rice flour used. Then I ordered a lobster carbonara which included homemade pasta (points for that), but the noodles were not cooked through. And I do prefer al dente, but this pasta was far from getting to that al dente sweet spot. The lobster was overly salty and the carbonara, I kid you not was peas and an Alfredo sauce. My husband’s chicken parm came with a spaghetti that tasted more like Chef Boyardee from a can. Yes, this restaurant is safe, but its food has a long way to go before being delicious.
98% of the menu is gluten free. Chicken parm and all. Only the ravioli is not gluten free. No gluten is put into their fryers. So all the fried calamari etc is gluten free. Also it is not as expensive as 4 dollars signs in my opinion. If you don’t want to eat gluten but have full Italian options eat here. My wife has never been so happy.
Thank you very much!
Amazing GF gnocchi, meatballs and bread. The perfect meal with great service.
Thanks so much for your patronage. Please visit us again!
Loved it! Food was incredible! Server and owner were very aware of celiac. Felt safe eating here with Celiac. Too loud to talk with family when there were two people singing, fortunately they only did a couple songs, we actually considered leaving if the singing was continuing so we could hear each other.
Thanks so much for your patronage. Please visit us again!
Incredible food. Almost everything can be GF. GF fryer. Best carbonara I've ever had.
Thank you very much!
Every thing on the menu can be made gluten free (except the ravioli because they cannot perfect that recipe) and it’s delicious! We had a great meal. Every thing that goes in the fryer is gluten free, so no worries about cross contamination there. Had no trouble just doing “plain” pasta for my picky kiddo. Highly recommend!
Thank you very much!
Food was great, staff was knowledgeable about cross-contamination! Almost all of the menu is gluten free, only the things with gluten, which are the ravioli, are marked. They have gluten-free bread too.
Fanfreakingtastic!! By far the best GF pasta I’ve had. The whole menu (minus the ravioli) is GF. Chicken parm, meatballs, bolognese, truffle fries- everything. They even had a couple GF beers too. Service was excellent and the atmosphere was fun as well. I’m so thankful I stumbled upon this gem. We’ll definitely be back.
Thank you very much!
Love when I can get friend Calamari and Chicken Parm! 98% of menu can be done GF. The only downside was the side pasta was a little over cooked, but chicken was excellent.
I'm glad you enjoyed. Next time, please bring any dislike to the attention of our staff. we truly aim to please!
The BEST gluten free meal I have ever had! I live in CT and have traveled many places and nothing compares. I’ve never had chicken parm from a restaurant that is breaded and fried. Their selection is huge and they even have delicious gluten free bread that they don’t up charge! The service is wonderful, knowledgeable and a nice atmosphere. They even have gluten free beer! There are other restaurants in the North End that serve gluten free BUT it’s not like this.. at all! You will not be disappointed!! I’ve been here twice and I am looking forward to going back.
THANK YOU SO MUCH! We can't wait to host you again.
Felt like this was a totally GF restaurant, server was knowledgeable. Selection was great. All dinners were wonderful! Highly recommend!
I appreciate your review. We hope to see you again soon!
Amazing. GF fryer with awesome fried cheese curds and wings. Next time we’ll get Italian food. It was just so fun to have fried stuff!
Thanks for taking the time to write a review. We can't wait to host you again.
We had delicious locally made apps. Our server was very knowledgable about gluten and Celiac disease. We ordered the tagliatelle with mushroom and tagliatelle with chicken and broccoli. The GF pasta was clearly homemade and delicious. The sauces were unique and matched well. They brought GF bread as well! There was a nice selection of GF beers and a cider. It was great to be able to go out safely in the North End of Boston. We will definitely be back to explore other options!!!
Thank you so much for your review and patronage. We can't wait to host you again soon!
