I really like that the GF items were brought out on square plates, it was my first time here and it helped me identify that my server did not ring up our second dish as GF and they were able to correct it quickly. The food was Fabulous! If I lived in NYC I would eat here all the time! We went twice and had the pan fried dumplings (it’s been so long since I’ve been able to have these), orange crispy chicken (not spicy at all like it was supposed to be), sesame chicken (yum!) and Pad Thai (good but a little bland). The second day we went the crispy chicken dish was twice as large as the first night, I’m not sure if we got shorted the first night or if they were overly generous the second night! Service has much to be desired but I would return since they have safe Chinese food and that’s rare! No reactions!
My go-to!! There is nothing like having true Chinese food that is gluten free!! I have eaten here many times and NEVER gotten sick. My favorite dishes are the veggie fried rice and sesame chicken. Just out of this world amazing - highly recommend!
I’m vegetarian, and was THRILLED to have so many gf/veg Chinese food options. They have a pretty large gf menu and I felt pretty safe eating there. I would definitely go back again!
4 1/2 stars. Food is good and no contamination issues. But not the best I’ve ever had. Great go to place though!
Food was good, but I was definitely contaminated. I normally never get sick because I’m not that sensitive, but i wasn’t well after this food. I had the dumplings and the lo mein and I got sick.
Soooooo Goooood. I would recommend it to anyone. The king pao’s chicken was to die for.
The food was amazing! Tasted exactly like the real thing. Had a spicy tuna roll and crispy sesame chicken. Really enjoyable!
My son loved the food and the selection
I’ve had great experiences here — good food, good service, and felt celiac safe. So nice to be able to eat Asian food!
Food tasted great, but I was glutened. Maybe a fluke or mistake.
The food was SO GOOD!!!! Best gluten free Chinese food I’ve ever had.
Pros: Safe, vegan options, great flavors, multiple dish style options. Cons: tofu texture was a little off putting. It was very soft (silken) and I personally prefer a firmer tofu in savory Asian dishes. The place is very busy and staff is constantly multitasking. It’s great when you’re in a rush, but if you’re looking to be carefully tended to it probably won’t happen here. If I go back, I’ll skip the tofu and ask for more / add’l veggies.
Wow what a find! Delicious and safe GF Chinese food. We ordered the steamed pork dumplings (haven’t had these in years since before going GF), boneless ribs, sesame chicken, vegetable fried rice, and a few sushi rolls. Everything was fantastic. You will not be disappointed!
Huge menu of gluten free items. This is the premiere gluten free Chinese restaurant, the food is incredible. And always consistent
Literally order from here once a week. My son and I both have celiac ( my other son and wife don’t) and we have never gotten sick. Delivery orders are on time and correct. My son, who loves Chinese food, never feels like he’s missing out because of Lili and Loo’s. My non-celiac family members are always happy to eat the GF food, says it tastes better than regular Chinese food.
Haven’t been back to the city in a few years but today I came back with my family. Couldn’t wait to go back to Lilli & Loo. Friendly staff, delicious food - just as I remembered. Everyone in our party enjoyed their meals. We will be visiting again next month. We will see you again soon. Thank you!
Amazing selection of fresh Pan-Asian food and friendly staff. No problems after eating, will be back!
Tested our food with a Nima tester and no gluten detected. Awesome to have the option available. Thank you Lilli and Loo for excellent options.
Delicious! the owner, maggie, takes allergies very seriously
I was badly glutened from this restaurant. It was seamless delivery so they must not have read my notes. I would suggest calling and being extremely clear you have celiac or allergy before ordering.
Very knowledgable staff and delicious food!
Great sesame chicken and spring rolls, staff is knowledgeable, and service is fast!
Separate menu! Very good food!
The Chinese food from here was excellent! We ordered it to go and the food was still lava hot by the time we got back to the hotel 30 mins later. I ordered the General Tsos chicken and fried dumplings both gluten free and they were delicious! I would absolutely go back to try more of their menu.
Great, safe Chinese food!!
I never thought I would have Chinese again after being DX'd w/ Celiac but Lillo and Loo's is just like I remember. The GF Thai fried rice is awesome. The GF steamed dumplings are perfect. The general Tso's was not my favorite but it was still good! They are very friendly and delivery is always a breeze.
I get food from here at least 3 times a week- I never get sick. The dumpling and spring rolls are amazing. Also love the oriental noodles, and their sushi is soo fresh! Once you eat here, you will be hooked!
We love this place!! Dumplings are my favorite
Lovely lunch at this celiac friendly Asian spot. Separate GF menu with separate food prep area. GF Thai fried rice was tasty and our non-GF eaters enjoyed a great meal, too. Good service, good location and pleasant environment. Will be back again.
With a dedicated gluten free menu, I never get sick and I eat here all the time! Food is awesome!
Such a treat to be traveling through the city and stumble upon this place. Haven't had a dumpling in 2+ years, and wow were they awesome. Also had shrimp tempura and general tsos chicken. A++.
GF dumplings!! They are close enough to being like the regular dumplings you would get from Chinese take-out. They're GF food is delicious.
Great gf menu with so many options!
Best GF Chinese food we have ever had. Has outstanding fried rice, spring rolls and spicy tuna/salmon maki. Very good at labeling GF food for home delivery.
Awesome GF Japanese restaurant. Service was great and very knowledgeable of cross contamination. It was so yummy to have GF Japanese, so hard to find! The GF spring rolls were my favorite! Great NYC restaurant atmosphere too. Did not get sick! :) Only complaint was drinks were over priced and not great, would stick to bottled drinks or wine. Will definitely return on my next visit!
Every time I eat here, I order a GF meal to go too! I am a very sensitive Celiac and I can't find GF Chinese in Queens. So, Lilli and Loo is the perfect place for satisfying that Chinese food craving (SAFELY!).
Wow. What a great place. Only place we've ever been able to find GF Chinese food. They were very friendly and super knowledgeable about GF issues. Had general saos chicken and it was best we've ever had any where. If you're looking for GF Chinese or sushi in NYC this is the place.
Delicious and really good with gluten free. We had sashimi, sushi roll, house fried rice, massaman curry and whole crispy fish. Everything was awesome and no one in the family got glutened. Even the picky kids liked everything! Highly recommend!
I can actually eat sushi or Chinese and not get sick. I ate here twice and never got sick. The food was wonderful.
Always a stop I make in NYC - such a treat to have crispy sesame and tempura and other treats, and at a reasonable price! Always in and out quickly. Only downside is no lunch specials for GF. But as a sensitive Celiac who travels often to NYC for work, the last thing on my mind is a couple of extra bucks for Celiac safety. Also love Lily's 57 (sister store with similar menu) but Lilli & Loo has a better overall atmospheres.
My son and I both are Celiac (he has EOE as well and can't have dairy or egg either).... we order from here at least 2x per month and we've never gotten sick! We drive from Brooklyn just to get take out and they even run it out to our car if we are driving in solo (and we pay by CC ahead of time via phone). Be sure to ask for GF soy sauce to go on the side (if you don't ask, they don't put it in the bag). My son gets the chicken satay app size (perfect for a kid) with a side of white rice (all safe for him). I love this place!!
The pad Thai can be made gluten free. It's a large portion and very tasty.
First of all I'd like to say I just made an account exclusively to rate this restaurant. It was that amazing! I have a number of food allergies including gluten so when I found out there was a Chinese restaurant that could cater to my needs I was beyond thrilled. I ordered the gluten free steamed dumplings and mu shu chicken which were out of this world!! And unlike other restaurants that say they serve gluten free I had ZERO negative effects from contamination. I was in absolute heaven! Will definitely come back here next time I am in the city! Incredible!
Excellent sesame chicken and spring rolls. Great service.
Extensive GF menu. This is the only restaurant in the country that offers GF potstickers.
My go-to GF Asian restaurant. I've only ordered takeout from here (and many, MANY times without issue). Read a few comments about poor service. I'd take shitty service over getting sick any day. I like ordering online because you can make note about the food needing to being celiac safe. The receipt says GF & each container of food will have a GF sticker. It's a nice cross-check. Separate GF menu. The sushi is great, the dumplings + spring rolls are yummy and the pad Thai + General Tso chicken = delicious!
The best gf Chinese/Asian I've found in NYC
Loved eating chinese! Had spring rolls. Dumplings, shrimp tempura roll & Generals Chicken. Loved everything! Highly sensitive- did fine
Great Pad Thai- very thorough in GF prep
Didn't make me sick but the gluten free spring rolls and dumplings were undercooked and made with very thick dough. The pad Thai was bland as was the fried rice.
