My daughter has Celiacs and this place knows just what to do! Separate fryers and knowledgeable staff!
Tasty & safe. Very fair prices.

I’ve go to Linda’s every time I pass through the Barrie area. It’s the only place, that has a wide variety of choices, that I trust to be consistently gluten free.

Thank you for that!! We appreciate your vote of confidence!!
I am not Celiac… however 3 of my siblings are. I grew up in a house where there were two butters in the fridge and you better stick your knife in the right one, or else! It was possible for us to coexist as a family of gluten-free and nongluten-free, and I believe that same philosophy is possible in a restaurant. It takes dedication, mindfulness and dedicated prep areas. We have all of those things, and are respected in all our communities.
We can answer any questions you have, and are confident in our products.
Much of what we serve we make ourselves. So we know what’s in it. And if not, we can read a label. If it’s not ok for you, we won’t serve it. Done.
If you are going to eat at a restaurant with GF options… you’re safest with us. 😊
Very good food and excellent service. Staff was very knowledgeable about celiac and they have lots of safe options.

We try to make as much of our food as we can GF... My sisters always said it would be nice to go to a restaurant with more than 2 choices. I remembered that. We do our best. :) Thanks for the great feedback and kind words for our staff!!
My boyfriend has celiacs. We both got a gluten free omelet with home fries and gluten free toast. It was all delicious. There is no gluten free info on the menu but some of the gluten free options are noted on the chalkboards inside. The staff was knowledgeable about what could be made gluten free. The bread was great. They said it is all made in a separate area.

It is... we have a dedicated GF area. That's where the bread and batters are made. It's also where our veg prep and proteins are handled and portioned. It's where our GF Waffle Iron and Toaster are too.
Glad you like the bread! Thanks for the kind words for the staff... :)
We did try to rewrite the menu for GF... but with a couple of exceptions, most of the menu can be done GF. It seemed redundant.
Thanks so much for your great review!
CELIAC FRIENDLY!!! 🥳 Separate gluten frier and understanding of celiac needs. Great menu, so many more options than most places in this area. So excited and happy to have heard and experienced Linda’s. THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!!!

Thanks so much!! Lovely review!!
Linda's is a fantastic restaurant that understands the dangers of cross-contamination for Celiacs. They have a completely separate preparation area with a dedicated fryer and toaster. Offering a wide selection of Celiac friendly gluten-free meals, this is the best and only restaurant north of the GTA that we have found to be safe for our daughter to enjoy a family meal out. The staff and atmosphere are super friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended if you or a family member are Celiac or gluten intolerant.

They certainly understand gluten free. Had a great breakfast with gluten free bread. Prices for pancakes and waffles were kind of disappointing since they are just the GF flour component, that they already have. Still a great spot for a safe gf meal!

Hi! Thanks for the review... I really appreciate the vote of confidence!!!
To address the pricing... not just about the costing difference of the flours. We have to physically make the GF batters and breads. Which means a whole separate set of equipment, including an industrial mixer ($8000) and a dedicated oven ($5000), plus all the pans, utensils and dedicated space. And then the labor on top of it and additional handling in service. It is complicated... especially if it is to be done right. We do not charge extra simply to take any kind of advantage of our Celiac community. It's necessary in order to be able to provide the product. We hope that helps to clarify. :)
I wish this place was in the south end. I would go there all the time. Celiac aware for grills and fryers. Knowledgeable and friendly staff.

Wonderful staff. Great food. I love the gf fried halibut. So yummy.

I've eaten breakfast a few times here. GF waffles were amazing. Also tried French toast. Waffles still my fav!
Ok place for breakfast how ever they cook gluten on the same grill as gluten free. Lots of cross contamination here. I ordered the pancakes they where doughy in the middle almost raw. Also $8.99 seems a bit steep for 2 pancakes nothing else with them and they aren't very big. I sent them back and had there home made GF white toast it was ok I had better. When I got my bill they charged me for the pancakes so I took it up with the server and it seemed like they didn't want to take it off but in the end they did. I was going to order French toast for $9.99 😱 (nothing else added) but it's extra to add cinnamon even. I wasn't impressed with the kids menu at all! They bring us a kids menu but it's full price's for the items. So why not just order off the regular menu? The Gluten Free Eclair $2.50 and a donut $2.25. This place made me sick!
No
We don’t have eclairs or donuts??? Different place?
No worries of cross contamination. We know what we are doing.
I think this review may have been for the previous owners over 5 years ago.
Much different now. 😊
We have heard good things and decided to try! A nice GF menu that includes pancakes, waffles, French toast, fish and chips Dedicated fryer, separate meal prep area. When we were there the waitress told us 3/4 tables at that moment had ordered off the GF menu. Friendly staff. Kid friendly

Amazing homemade gluten free bread. I had a grilled cheese sandwich that was so thick that I couldnt finish it. My husband had a homemade gf waffle with strawberry sauce that was very light . Highly recommend this restaurant.

I am a huge fan of brunch and breakfast and this is where I go every single weekend for amazing gluten free french toast. Homemade bread made by the owner. She also does loaves, cookies, crusts.. Whatever you need or whatever is on her gluten free menu. She is amazing. It's a greasy spoon, with absolutely delicious food. Never gotten sick in here. Staff are amazing!
