Lion & Unicorn

I went to the Lion & Unicorn for lunch for the first time last week. Since I’d never been and the website wasn’t clear I emailed and messaged in advance but didn’t get a reply. However, when I phoned they were very helpful and I was put through to someone who works in the kitchen who explained that there are plenty of gluten free options and they take precautions to reduce the risk of cross contamination. All I had to do was remind them I was gluten free when I arrived to get the gluten free menu which had a lot of options. I went for the burger and chips which were brilliant. The burger had a good gluten free bun and the waitress was able to confirm straight away that the chips aren’t cooked in the same fryer as gluten.

I have eaten here many times and have never had a reaction. The staff are very friendly. I recommend the Waygu burger with gf bun and the Knickerbocker Glory!
