All gluten free!!! A celiacs dream!! I had the burger and fries and it was the best fries and best gluten free bun I’ve ever had. The chicken and waffles were also amazing the chicken was seasoned amazingly and very light and fluffy waffles. 10/10 recommend. Dedicated fryer.
So happy to have found this place. Feel was chip truck meets dinner- it’s not fancy, it’s comfy. Just what we were looking for.
To be able to eat out without fear of getting sick is fantastic. I believe you can get a regular bun for you burger if you want, but otherwise everything’s GF.
Went with my spouse. We both had the fish and chips. We were not disappointed. My husband is from a coastal town so, he knows his fish and chips.
Go!!! It’s worth it.
The owner gave us outstanding service. It was the first time I had been to a restaurant since my diagnosis and I was not disappointed. In fact, it gave me a lot of hope. The fried chicken sandwich was AMAZING!
Everything cooked in this restaurant is gluten-free. The kitchen is dedicated and so there's no cross-contamination. Already looking forward to my next visit!! Thanks, Little Mac’s.
Phenomenal experience. Everything is gluten free and you need to ask for it not to be. Went with family. I had the burger and fries. Another person had the ribs, another the chicken and waffles. The person who got the chicken and waffles is not gluten free and said she would never have known had I not told her that her meal was gf
amazing gluten free options! the whole menu can be made gf. i think the only non-gf items are the burger buns that can also be replaced with gf ones! so the risk of cross contamination is super super low. everyone really enjoyed their food. the only thing that it’s kind of lacking is vegetarian options as only one of the waffle dishes is vegetarian. but overall still 10/10 experience!
Showed up at 7pm on a Tuesday, they were closed. Called and left a message asking what their hours are, as they were supposed to be open, haven't heard back. Not sure if they are closed permanently? Or just close if it's slow. No sign was on the door explaining why they were closed.
Wow! What can I say about this place to promote it more. This is a fun little restaurant with a neat retro vibe. The chef was polite and helpful and I felt immediately at ease with my menu choices. I chose battered chicken because I have not seen a gf choice ever. It came with yummy fries and gravy. I had heard about the milkshakes so, even though I shouldn’t have, I ordered one and was transported back to my childhood. Highly recommended!
Best gluten free fried chicken I had since I’m gluten free! Food was super good and price are reasonable, and rare thing on this street, they have parking. Everything is gluten free, only thing that is not GF, they have regular burger bun available as well as their GF buns. I’ll go back for sure!
GLUTEN FREE MILKSHAKE AND FRENCH FRIES! Stumbled across this place on Uber eats and was so thrilled to hear that most things are gluten free (except burger buns), and that they have milkshakes that are gluten free 🫶🏻 a safe place for celiacs for burgers and fries and shakes. Definitely will be back when I’m in Ottawa!
It's the first time in five years they've opened that I had the chance to be in Ottawa, while I was hungry and it was open.
Whoop! Whoop to Little Mac's Ottawa.
OMG! It was amazingly amazing, I haven't had fried chicken in a million years, and it was so delicious. Even hubby who's far from being celiac, devoured is plate. There was a couple there that came all the way from Montreal just to try it, betcha they don't regret any time passed on the road for that tasty food
The service was also perfect, these guys rock.
The only problem, I just want to go back, like right now 😋😉😁 or move in.
Oh! Don't skip the milkshake, I had cookies and caramel, flipped a couple of lactaid and it was even on earth 🌎🌍❣❤
First time eating at Little Macs and I was not disappointed. I asked the server about a dedicated fryer and was promptly informed nothing is ever cooked with any flour as the owner is Celiac and everything is made gluten free. I ate the fish and chips and it was delicious! Will definitely be returning 😁
I just wanted gluten free poutine. And this place (Little Macs) came up in a search after we had gone somewhere else and their GF fryer was out of commission.
Low and behold EVERYTHING is GF. Praise Jesus.
I had a poutine (could feed two adults, easy) and a fried chicken sandwich.
They dont have a liquor license, but my friend and I went across the street after for some drinks to make up for it.
Also, we parked on the street but I think they are situated in their own parking lot.
Stopped here after reading the reviews. Designated fryer, and all gf except they have the option for non-gluten free buns. It is a mostly outdoor venue.
Order their chicken and waffles. It came with a large waffle, a big piece of fried chicken, and a pile of fries. The gravy was so good with the chicken and waffles. Food was great huge portions. Server was knowledgeable.
We took out from little Mac’s although there were some picnic benches if you wanted to sit outside. There was only one person working on a Sunday evening so the food took quite a while ( over 30 minutes) as there was a big order before we got there. Despite the stress, this guy was so nice, friendly and helpful. He walked us through the menu and even explained which dishes would take more time ( as we were in a rush). I can’t eat gluten, dairy or corn so my options were a bit more limited since everything is breaded/fried in cornflour/ cornmeal and a lot of items had dairy. I ended up with pulled pork and fries. The pulled pork was in a delicious sauce ( not too sweet and a bit Smokey) with caramelized onions. The fries were also really good and the portion was huge! My son had the fried chicken basket which was such a treat for him- the chicken was “real” fried chicken as opposed to the usual store bought gluten free breaded chicken that we are used to. Overall, despite the long wait, the food and the service definitely made it a great experience. We would definitely return next time we are in Ottawa.
This was ok. I had a burger and beet salad. It needed seasoning. My husband had the chicken and waffles. His was ok too. I didn’t get sick so that’s the main thing.
Edited to add-we’ve been several times and the fried chicken is great as everyone says. They have a few great salads as well so I’d say This is worth it!
Delicious comfort food with most of the menu gf including fried chicken and fries. Super yummy.
Can't believe this place doesn't advertise as GF🤷♀ Amazing!! You get so much and under $20 with tip I got: 2 pieces awesome chicken One lg round waffle Fries And 3 sauces (maple syrup, chicken gravy and sour cream)
Gluten free fried chicken poutine! I never thought I would have that after going gluten free. I have been many times with the kids. So far everything on menu has been great, just be prepared for a bit of a wait, but that’s because it’s all made fresh.
