Great GF pizza (they use Mariposa Bakery crust). I’m highly sensitive to gluten and never had an issue eating their GF items.

Best gluten free crust i’ve had! Definitely give this place a try if you’re in the area, although make sure you have time to wait since the pizzas are made from scratch.. I have a gluten intolerance (non celiac) and i didn’t get sick, however for celiac people asking about the preparation is recommended

I had a wonderful experience at Little Star. I remember asking the person in front if they had any gluten free food and he said- honey, it’s san francisco, of course we are gluten free. the food takes a long time to be made because it’s made from scratch. truly authentic italian food. it was more than worth the 45 minute wait. the pizza comes on a different plate in comparison to the regular dishes. the workers are very kind and more than willing to accommodate your dietary needs or restrictions. mostly, families with small children come here. Including, teenagers.

I have eaten here once a month for the past year with no issues. We go for the baked wings and the gfree crust pizza. The staff showed us that there is now a dedicated pizza pan they cook the pizza on, which has a patten, so I always check the bottom.

Called and they told me there was a dedicated oven, when I arrived they were not knowledgeable and did not have a dedicated oven nor did they know about food prep. I would have not gone there had they told me when I called. After talking to the manager about cross contamination I tried the gluten free pizza because my crew was so hungry. Got sick. Stay away if you get sick from gluten, definitely not celiac friendly.

The staff and chefs are well trained about celiac and allergies. They have separate cutting knives for gluten free, dairy free and both. Yes, they have dairy free cheese too. I have celiac and I'm extremely sensitive to the tiniest amount of gluten and I've only had a very slight reaction once. Make sure they repeat your order to you if you call in. I buy extra pizzas and put them in my freezer!
