I ordered Delivery, the items I ordered were marked GF. I wasn’t able to make a memo on the items in the online ordering so I called after purchasing. She said you have to memo in items that need to be GF even if they are marked. The food boxes came marked GF and tasted amazing!
The owner is very familiar with Celiac and understands the repercussions of getting cross contaminated. She’s very knowledgeable and we had a great conversation about her relationship with it, and how she takes the GF meal requests very seriously. Highly recommended, I felt very safe here
I ordered on-line and followed up with a phone call. The woman went over my order with me. When delivered, the gluten-free items were in a separate bag. I react violently to gluten. I was fine, no reaction. Chicken and vegetable with white rice was tasty, but I didn't get spicy, so a bit bland. The Egg Flower soup was good. Most importantly, I feel fine.
I have ordered food several times and have never had an adverse reaction and I have Celiac. I ordered Grandma's Special which is a salad that has shredded cabbage and onion topped with a homemade spicy ginger garlic dressing. You can add tofu or pork. It's very tasty. I also ordered chicken fried rice and it is also delicious . Gluten free dishes say that they are gluten free under the dish.
Wouldn’t recommend it- there are gluten free options, but it’s just plain noodles or rice with no sauce.
This is the best GF Chinese I’ve ever had (except for dim sum in Toronto). Full GF menu but lots of menu items can be made GF if you ask. Eaten here three times and it was delicious, great portion sizes, and no reaction (and I’m very sensitive). I had Beef and Snow Peas/Mushrooms, Szechuan Beef, and Szechuan Noodle Soup (separate occasions, obviously!)
I have a difficult time finding gf Chinese where I live. We were afraid it was closed when we got there but it was open. It's open only for take out right now, but the super nice owner let us in for table service anyway because we were traveling (with suitcases). A good variety of things can be made gf. I got the egg flower soup which was just like any other restaurant, and the kung pao shrimp which was wonderful. So much flavor! The owner was quite talkative and said her daughter in law had celiacs, so that's when she decided to offer gf food.
I called ahead and found out they use soy sauce that contains wheat in all of their cooking unless you specify gluten-free. Color me skeptical, but with soy in virtually every recipe, I don’t see how the cooking utensils, surfaces, and sauces will be free from gluten or cross contamination. I would not encourage those with celiac to eat here without taking that into consideration.
It is frustrating to see so many restaurants listed as "celiac friendly" and having "dedicated gluten-free cooking space" only to find that the restaurant itself does not even claim to do any of these things. From the restaurant's website: "
Please keep in mind that any items prepared without Gluten are prepared in the same kitchen that handles other Gluten products. During normal kitchen operations, there is a possibility for food items to come into contact with wheat gluten/proteins. However unlikely, we are unable to guarantee that any menu item is completely gluten-free." http://www.littleszechuanaz.com/menu.html
Fair enough, but find me gluten free needs to stop wasting people time and getting them sick with deceptive information that they never update.

The owner has a family member that had celiac. She mentioned that she had trained them in safe practices. They use separate woks and utensils . Limited menu. We got fried rice, chicken moo goo gai pan, and kung pao chicken (spicy, but our favorite dish by far). We did not get sick. We went off hours, so it wasn't very busy, but very noisy. The reason for only 4 stars is because main dishes are only moo goo gai pan and kung pao dishes are gf. Egg drop soup also.
first GF Chinese food I've had in 12 years! The owner chef was friendly and knowledgeable. She spent time helping me choose my meal. I had Kung Pao veg and Moo goo guy pan. Enough to take home for lunch next day. it was delicious and spicy hot! I enjoyed so much I went back again. We were in Tempe for a holiday. I just might have to come back for this restaurant. And....I didn't get sick!
Started coming here about a year ago for lunch. The staff is very knowledgeable about gluten free food, and is willing to go out of their way to prepare food in a gluten free manor. They take the extra time to make the dish that i would normally never be able to eat. Chinese food is my favorite so I can't say how happy I am that I found this place. They do get very busy so it helps to give them a heads up if you'll be ordering gluten free, as it takes them much longer to prepare. Sometimes they're unable to do so due to high volume. Always best to call ahead and check. I've been going here about 2 times a week every week for lunch and will continue to do so! The food is so great and I've never had a reaction.
Ian asked me about Gluten Free when I sat him with his mother. I didn't hear him correct so I said everything on the page - I thought he said available, he thought I said gluten free. I explained my mistake the owner explained my mistake. Ian wanted general Tso chicken but not breaded but it was not available as Swanie is the waitress, cook and owner. We were really busy. We suggested other Gluten Free offerings to Ian, such as Lemon Chicken. Ect, but he couldn't get over my mistake. Sorry Ian!!!!!
Definitely not Gluten-Free friendly. When I asked about a GF menu, they told me that I could get anything on the menu. After prying a little more, they realized that they were wrong and tried to steer me in a direction. I skeptically ordered chicken that I was told would be Gf and had a reaction.
