UPDATE: *the sprinkles have cross contact since they dip all flavors directly into them. We lucked out the times we went because they had just refilled the container and the sprinkles hadn’t been used yet.
Fantastic ice cream, gluten free cones, gluten free sprinkles and even a gluten free vegan option for those that need it. We have been several times and last night I realized I haven’t written a review 💕
A few tips:
-Be nice, the staff is lovely and accommodating and very sweet.
-Tell them you have celiac, most of the staff are familiar, if not, explain it’s like a gluten allergy.
-Any of the ice creams with cookies, oats (unless they’re gf oats), brownies are NOT safe obvi 😉
-Ask them if they would use a clean scooper so it’s not the one with any cookie/brownie gluten residue.
-Ask if they would be willing to get a scoop from a new tub so there isn’t gluten residue from previous scoops.
-Ask if they could use new gloves or freshly washed hands so you don’t get cross contact from gluten cones.
-again please be nice, as a celiac, we need a lot of extra steps and they’re very kind to provide a safe experience especially for kids who can’t just go to Dairy Queen and get a dipped cone like everyone else.
Truckee ice cream company has provided 3 years of safe summer ice cream experience’s for us as a celiac mom and little one. And the ice cream is SO GOOD!!
I checked out the website before going. It talked a lot about gluten free options and seemed really knowledgeable about gluten allergies. When we got there the staff was not very knowledgeable and that was disappointing. However, they were very nice and used a clean scooper and the ice cream was yummy!
Great ice cream place! The staff will tell you which flavors are GF. Lots of options!

Were very accommodating. Most I've creams are GF and they were willing to open a new bucket and use Separate tools. Also had GF cones! Made my celiac son very happy! The ice cream is great!
