I have been working at Living Roots since spring 2023 and LOVE it. Beautiful space, delicious wines! Our wine is vegan and made with minimal input. As far as charcuterie boards go, our food is locally sourced and delicious, however we have a tiny kitchen area in the tasting room to make boards and while we try our best, cross contamination is a real risk. We slice our baguettes before toasting them so flour is…everywhere. If you choose to risk that, I would recommend asking that the food person wipe down the area, change their gloves and use a fresh knife. I would also recommend avoiding the dried fruit and pepitas that come on the board, as gluten contaminated gloves would have entered the jar they’re stored in during the shift while preparing other boards. If all of that sounds like too much hassle, we do have other pre-packaged gluten free items like Top Seedz crackers, North Folk potato chips, brownies from The Red Fern, etc. My coworkers and I are very knowledgeable about gluten and are happy to answer any questions you may have.
