Cannot recommend Lizzie’s enough! So many gluten free options. And the staff is very careful for those with celiac. There’s even a button for celiac on the ordering system. The GF crab cake is amazing! Gluten free bread options, croutons for salads, etc.
This is a small place, and you order from a kiosk... which normally worries me because you can never say gluten-free on a kiosk but this one you can! You are able to give them a celiac alert right on the kiosk. They have delicious (and rare) things like gf mac & cheese with lobster or crab, gf grilled cheese with lobster or crab or chicken or bacon... gf lobster rolls. Ordering by the kiosks was easy, the man behind the counter was lovely and very helpful, and the food was absolutely fantastic. i can't wait to go back and have lobster mac n cheese! Hope this helps someone...
AMAZING! You order by the kiosk but Matt made sure whoever walked in to speak to them and ask about dietary restrictions. The food was so good. My 6 yr old loved the crab cake. I am not gluten free and I tried it. Being from MD I am picky about my crab cakes and this was one of the best ones I have ever had!! And the gf ginger cookies so good!! We will be back!
We were finally able to stop in and we were not disappointed! Their ordering kiosks are wonderful with the option to alert them of Celiac or flag other allergens, they have a growing number of gluten free options and they are very transparent with their dairy and nut use. Side note…I tried lobster for the first time and it was delicious! The customer service could not be better. We will be back!
Fantastic service. They literally ask if you have celiac when you order and the staff went out of their way to ensure i was comfortable. It's a nice treat to get a grilled cheese sandwich at a restaurant and the ginger cookies were fantastic as well.
I could not recommend this place more, it seems as good a place for anyone with celiac to go for a meal and feel comfortable. Next time I go to Ocean City, I will run, not walk there.
Immediately asked about food restrictions. Didn’t have to elaborate on celiac , all was understood. Kiosk menu enabled selection of celiac modifications and the manager confirmed order multiple times in process.
I enjoyed my meal.
Celiac friends, run don't walk. The food here is sooo amazing. Every staff member was knowledgeable of gluten free versus celiac cross contamination protocol. The ordering process should become standard practice for all restaurants. On a tablet that you can easily select allergies / cross contamination issues.
The restaurant was very expensive but their food was sooo amazing. We had the gf lobster roll and the roll was sooo good. It didn't have that gritty crumbly typical gf bread feel/ taste. We also had a side of lobster with butter. Hot dog with gf bun, and chicken salad. Dessert was brownie, key lime pie ( with gf crust!), and ginger snap cookies. Every thing was amazing. Couldn't even tell they were gluten free. I'm a sensitive celiac my one kiddo gets immediately / severely ill and we are all great. I wish they could be rated more than 5 stars !
I love finding these little treasures on this app! Wonderful little cafe with great gluten free food and friendly people. They make sure that their gf food is celiac safe.
Amazing! Not only is the food fabulous, but the staff is incredibly knowledgeable about celiac and cross contamination. The owner was even knowledgeable about how some paper straws contain gluten (that was an eye opener). There is even a "celiac" button when you order. I ordered the lobster roll, my daughter had a hotdog. We both had gluten free brownies (they also have gluten free key lime). Five stars all around.
My gluten-free lobster roll was very tasty. It was tough to choose between the “Connecticut“ version and the “New England“ (cold, mayonnaise based salad) version; I went with what I perceived to be the more traditional, salad version. It was delicious although pretty expensive. $30 for a good amount of lobster salad on what was basically a hotdog size bun. The service was excellent. You do order from a kiosk where you can specify gf bread and celiac allergy, but the guy behind the counter was extremely helpful. It probably helped that they weren’t very busy right now. After I was served, I checked the Miss Vickie‘s potato chips and saw that they were not marked gluten-free so I didn’t eat them. But the server came out and told me he had googled to see if they were gluten-free and said that he could not confirm that they were, which I considered excellent service! I would come again if only to try the Connecticut version which is served warm with drawn butter.
The tablets you order off of have a button for celiac so they seemed very cognizant of allergies which I greatly appreciated! I had the chicken salad sandwich on GF bread and while the chicken salad was great the sandwhich was so tiny because of the bread. It’d be worth more to just get a container of chicken salad. It came with chips and a pickle which helped it to be more filling. Even my friend asked where the other half of sandwich was when I took it out. Very cute on the inside & kind workers! Just keep that in mind about the bread. All in all I would come back!
Super cute, more of a chill funky beach vibe. They had gf bread for sandwiches. Super delish & worth the splurge!
Lovely little place! Very quaint, old music playing, felt like I was on the coast of Maine. Great GF options- buns and rolls for all the sandwiches. When ordering there is an option to select “Celiac” and he told me they are careful about cross contamination. Got the New England lobster roll and it was great!
We were in the mood for takeout and decided to order from here. I had the lobster roll on the gluten free roll, which was tasty. My husband enjoyed his crab cake (not gf). The restaurant takes allergies seriously and talked about the ways they ensure no cross-contamination. I felt safe ordering from here. Very nice people, and a cute place.
My Mom and I both had the gluten free New England lobster roll and it was delicious! It was really easy to place the order, felt a lot safer than other places I’ve ordered from and was actually served on a gluten free roll. The last lobster roll I had elsewhere was on lettuce so having some bread was fantastic!
