Really good selection and staff very knowledgable. Also a brilliant location from getting away from tourist dominated resort eating

Very unique place. The covered outdoor veranda has a stunning view of the ocean. Staff was knowledgeable and accommodating. It’s on a one way street so can be a little tricky to get to by car. Had a lovely meal and will eat here again.
THIS PLACE IS A GEM!!! Local & Co was the best meal we had all week in Barbados by a long shot! It was phenomenal! Our group had several people with symptomatic celiac and all of us felt safe. Nobody got sick.
They have dedicated GF fryers! The entire menu is labeled for allergies! The staff is knowledgeable and helpful! They have a ton of GF options, including dessert! They practice sustainability! They use local/fresh ingredients!
We were a party of 6 and dined directly on the beach at sunset with our toes in the sand. It was private and magical. Highly recommend booking one of those tables as the deck gets very crowded. Take your time and enjoy it. You can even swim in the ocean during your meal if you want!
I highly recommend making an advanced reservation as this place is busy!
Bonus Tip: Come for dinner. But also come for lunch and make a day of it on the beach with their recliners/umbrellas. I would recommend popping into their little market for smoothies, baked goods, homemade jams, etc. Enjoy!

Many amazing gluten free options. We got the cassava fried chicken appetizer and ceviche both were incredible. I had the Local and Co Superfood salad with pulled chicken for dinner which was delicious. Only issue was that I let the server know that I have a gluten allergy and serve egg allergy. They have vegan mayo listed on the menu but that’s not what usually come with the cassava fried chicken..she said she would sub it out but she ended up bringing the one with eggs and I had two small bites before I realized it had eggs in it. Almost ruined the night but everything else was incredible. Would love to go back. Next time I will know the difference between the regular and the vegan aioli.

Wonderful food and very aware or GF options. Menu labelled and they confirmed no wheat used in fryer. Had celiac daughter with us for dinner and loved it so much we went back so ate twice. The fried chicken bites are soooo tasty. Fish tacos next level. Good superb, ambiance great and very good for GF. Definitely a Barbados must for anyone but especially if you’re GF.
