We eagerly awaited the reopening of the Lock Keeper after their big refurbishment and finally visited yesterday, and they’ve changed menu - they don’t have a separate gluten free menu any longer, but everyone seems very clued up on GF and cross contamination and showed me the allergen list for each dish, and how it can be modified.
I ended up ordering Fish and Chips simply because when I asked if they have a separate fryer, the waiter said ‘we have one fryer, and that is kept gluten free’.
My fish and chips was delicious!
I was pleasantly surprised visiting the Lock Keeper, although not advertised on their website they do have a separate GF menu with lots of options for starters, mains and desserts. About 8-10 mains to choose from if I remember. Rang in advance and staff were happy to explain their kitchen protocols and go through the menu with me.
