Ordered takeout and had no issue- staff on the phone was accommodating and made adjustments to shrimp and fish tacos to make them GF. Went in person and had my waiter assure me my order was gluten free, but for some reason my tacos came out with hard shells instead of the corn. Didn’t question it since it was only my second time there and early into diagnosis. Left feeling bloated and sick for the rest of the night. I may have put too much trust in previous reviews and wasn’t clear enough with my questions. Make sure you are getting corn tacos!! I personally haven’t been back, as the taste wasn’t good enough to be worth the risk.
I ordered a few different tacos, which the waiter told me were all gluten free except one at the time. Waiter seemed knowledgable about gluten-free options. He also told me they fry their own chips in a gluten-free fryer. I didn't have any problems with cross-contamination and I tend to be very sensitive to that. And the tacos were good!
Great food, staff is mostly knowledgeable and when they don’t know something they have zero problem asking the chef. They do not have a dedicated fryer so tortilla chips and anything with a fried corn tortilla is off limits for those with celiac. Plenty of options and very understanding. Just had the steak & eggs today and bc the potatoes are fried in the fryer I substituted red rice for no extra charge. The chorizo is gf as well so I added some of that into my rice and omg. I can’t wait to go back and order it again 😍 The ONLY reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 is because having a dedicated fryer would be a game changer for that place.
