Well folks, I have a new love in Vegas. We sat in the bar/ music area at a table. My server was fantastic! She was super knowledgeable about celiacs safety. Actually, everyone we came across working in the restaurant was awesome. Our server explained how the kitchen is set up for celiacs in addition to precautions they take. We even got to say thank you to the chef. This place is a hidden gem. There are many dishes to choose from. We had the cajun nachos for an app. Mama’s red beans and rice and the bronzed shrimp and grits for dinner. 🤤 We are saving room for the banana’s foster next time. They have a dedicated fryer for their house made corn chips and fries. If celiac, do not eat anything fried that isn’t fries or chips. It was my understanding that those are the only items cooked in the dedicated gf fryer. Which is great for me!! They have live piano/ keyboard music at night. I was told they have an amazing brunch. We will be trying that next!
Gluten Free is marked on the menu but the fried items are in a shared fryer. I avoided those and had the blackened salmon, baked sweet potato and veggies. Everything was great and I didn’t get sick. The staff is welcoming. The waitress went to the kitchen to confirm my choices with the chef. I’ll go back.
Always amazing food and great staff. We have been here every time we visit Vegas. Lots of options.
Great find just 20 minutes off the strip. We really enjoyed this Louisiana style restaurant. Great authentic look and feel down to the beignet station in the middle of the floor. Unfortunately, the beignets are not gf, but most everything on the menu can be made gf. My wife who is gluten intolerant enjoyed her blackened shrimp. They can do fish and shrimps grilled or blackened. Katrina cked with staff to make sure the seasoning was gf, and they confirmed for us. No problems. Almost all the sides are gf. We had the rice and green beans (real green beans with bacon). Oh, and Bananas Foster for dessert gf.
We thought the plates had generous servings and reasonably priced compared to being on the strip. GF items are clearly marked on menu, and our wait server Andy was friendly and really knowledgeable about gf options and alternative preparations, and checked with kitchen on seasonings for blackened or grilled to be sure for us.
This place is a great hidden place. We've lived in Vegas for a little over 5 years, and we've eaten in this area before. The GM greeted us at the door and shook our hands. The waiter knew what Celiac was and made sure my meal was GF. I was not sick and we will be going back! It is spicy food though so if you have IBS I would be careful
This is one of my favorite restaurants. Servers are very knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful, and there are lots of delicious gluten free options. Can't go wrong with Lola's.
