Whilst we had clearly stated on our booking that we were dining with a coeliac, we had the allergies folder and clearly stated to each waitress that our daughter is coeliac; our order was taken and a new waitress came out from the kitchen who said that the fries weren't cooked in separate fryer "is that OK?". We said no, and that we had clearly stated our daughter was coeliac etc. She rushed off to see what she could eat without cross contamination. We panicked before another waitress apologised for the confusion, said she was coeliac and there was definitely a separate fryer. We breathed a sigh of relief and waited for our meals. They arrived and the waitress stated which meal was coeliac etc, did everything correctly. Yet halfway through meal, our daughters belly started hurting. By the time we got home she was in tears from being glutened. It may have just been an off night, but we will not be back.

I know that not all Lone Stars cater to coeliacs, but this one is particularly good. Before we began to order the server asked if there were any food allergies at our table. When I told her I was coeliac, she gave me an allergens folder that enumerated the gf options. She was very careful to note multiple times that the order was for a coeliac. I am confident that they understand.

We had a wonderful experience recently with Lonestar. We are new at this and discovering how to manage a young child with gluten issues. The staff were so helpful and warned of possible cross contamination with certain things on the menu. We had no issues afterwards.

This restaurant has a dedicated gluten free fryer, no gf buns for burgers but lettuce wrap offered. I am very symptomatic and had no reaction. I had a chicken burger with chips

Terrible. Wanted the gluten free fish and chips. We checked before that was all ok and without discussing before other meals were served we got plain fish with rice. A very sad 12 year old! And $33 !!!

Staff have no idea of coeliac, or any allergy menu. No dedicated fryer, so near impossible to order anything safe for Miss 8.
