We have been eating at Longhorn for years and have never had an issue with cross-contamination. However, we ordered a new -for us - menu item tonight, the brussels sprouts, and they came out looking like they had been deep fried. I told the waitress I have a gluten allergy, asked her if everything I had ordered was safe, was told that when they enter something into the system, if a gluten allergy is noted on the ticket that it kicks that part of the order back so you can’t possibly be served that item… but then we asked for a manager and she told us the brussels sprouts go in the same the deep fryer as the fried chicken… but “any gluten in the fryer shouldn’t attach”. To top it off, they did not comp my less than half eaten meal…. I am praying I don’t have a long night ahead of me. I will never eat at Longhorn again.
