Staff was very knowledgeable of celiac disease. I have missed having Mexican food and this place was amazing. I was able to have GF chips, tacos, fajitas. Highly recommend. We are here 4 times over the weekend. They take it very seriously.
First of all, yuck. It wasn’t good. Everything tasted like a glorified reheated TV dinner. The Chips were stale, the Guacamole tasted like melted plastic. I have Celiac Disease and our Server didn’t seem to know what Gluten was. I didn’t feel comfortable eating here and would not recommend it all.
Make sure to tell the hostess you are GF. They will bring you GF chips.
Have eaten here 3 or 4 times and woken up in the middle of the night with a bad stomach at least twice. I wouldn't recommend eating the "gf" chips as it took them a while to get them to me and I suspect they fried them in a communal fryer. I think both times I asked for them were the nights I woke up hurting. I didn't ask stupidly, but I would be careful. The food itself wasn't bad, I just recommend being very careful.
The gluten-free menu in this casual, mid-scale restaurant offers several choices. I started with white queso and gluten-free chips. As soon as you are seated, a server brings chips, but they are not the GF version. You must ask your server to bring GF chips. The white queso was very tasty, but next time, I will request omitting the cilantro garnish. For lunch, I ordered two enchiladas, Mexican rice, and refried beans, all of which were delicious. Our server was knowledgeable about gluten-free and the entire staff is friendly and welcoming. As a celiac, I felt safe dining here and I had no gluten reaction. I am excited to find a Mexican restaurant with good food that accommodates gluten-free. Most in our area do not accommodate gluten-free—at least, to a degree that makes me comfortable. Los Cabos is close to Bass Pro Shop at I-70 and Highway 291.
I've ate here twice at two different locations and I ordered off of the gluten free menu both times and I got so so sick from it both times. I mean the food was good but I felt like death and it most definitely was not gluten free
The last time I ate here, I specifically asked for the the gf menu, told the server I'm gf and that it's an allergy and was assured that she'd make sure my food was safe bc she's gf as well. When my food arrived, I took a bite of the chicken enchiladas - when cutting into it for the second bite, I realized something was wrong and that I'd just eaten a flour tortilla. I called the server over to confirm and she turned white when she realized what she'd just served me. I didn't eat another bite, but it was too late. I ended up sick for several days as a result. I'll never eat there again.
the wait staff were knowledgeable and helpful. They have gluten free chips on request. their gluten free menu isnt giant but has a few good selections. i had the gluten free enchaladas and i thought they were quite good. I didnt have a reaction afterwards. I didnt have a gluten reaction but i did get sick after eating here. I will probably give this place one more shot at some point.
