My niece went to get donuts for me today but upon seeing the allergen information post, she didn’t purchase them due to her concern about cross contamination. I uploaded their allergen statement in the photo section just so people can read it before taking a special trip.

Donuts were awesome and lots of options! We will be back! They marked the gluten free donuts in a box and changed gloves, and marked that it was an allergy when ordering.

Donuts were ok but I got cross contaminated. This might be because I ordered ahead. I placed an order ahead and while they are in a box there are gluten donut boxes and crumbs all around. They try their best but as they state in their allergen protocol it can happen.

Amazing (HUGE) donut. I had the Apple Cider and then later a bite of one of the glazed ones (I wouldn’t bother with those). The Apple Cider has a little satisfying crunch to it and it is surprisingly fluffy for a GF cake doughnut. I was satisfied with their protocols (preparing separately and frying in a dedicated GF fryer as well as keeping them on dedicated trays for fulfilling orders) and didn’t have any issues. I appreciated that they also flagged an allergy on my order ticket and stamped my (separate) bag GF. It’s a busy shop, so I think it’s just important to make sure they know why you’re ordering GF to make sure they’re as careful as possible.

It was SO lovely to have a proper donut. I got an apple cider donut and was so impressed with it— it was huge, delicious, and didn’t crumble apart! Not a ton of variety, and they were sold out of 2 of the 4 GF flavors, but the staff used a different set of tongs when grabbing from the display case and also packaged my donut away from the rest of our order. Will for sure be back if I’m in the area again.

Sad to say that their raspberry coconut donut was as hard as your head and the raspberry flavor was very artificial! Not worth it!!

Great donuts! Not a huge variety (about 12 total, 4 gluten free) but all yummy and delicious flavors. I got the peach glazed donut which didn’t have much of a peach flavor but was thick, moist, and almost tasted like fried dough with glazed frosting on top. My brother (also celiac) got the lemon poppy which looked amazing - verdict still out on taste. I have very severe reactions to minor cross-contamination and I feel great! Would love to go back again.

All vegan, and several gluten free options. Second year in a row coming here and no reaction/didn’t get sick. Their donuts are so good, especially the Maine blueberry one! Flavors change monthly. They fry and prepare the donuts totally separate

Lovebirds Donuts is worth the drive. It is worth the wait. I have nut allergies and was happy to hear that they use Bob’s Red Mill flour. There were 4 gluten free donut choices, all vegan so dairy free as well. Cinnamon and sugar, chocolate frosted with sprinkles, glazed Maine blueberry, and one with coconut topping which I did not try. Loved the blueberry the most. The fruit makes it moist. The coffee there is amazing as well, choices of oat, almond and soy milk as well. Can’t wait to go back! The GF items are packed up separately and the bag or box is stamped so you know which is which. Not Celiac, have wheat allergy.

Deserves more than 5 stars. This is sooo good!!!! I came for my bachelorette party and surprised my girls with these and they loved them. I got myself all the gluten free ones and was in love!!!! Sooo good. Best gluten free donut I ever had! (Sorry Kane’s) but incredible

My gluten free daughter has always wanted a classic strawberry glaze donut and this one was excellent. A nice selection of gf donuts that tasted like “regular” donuts. Get there early for best selection.

I was underwhelmed after all the rave reviews I had heard. When we tried several different flavors…They were just ok, very dense and a bit odd tasting & very heavy in the stomach. I didn’t enjoy it as much as I had hoped. Imo Peace of Mind in North Conway is WAY BETTER!!!

Absolutely delicious! We arrived late morning on a Sunday and they still had all four of their GF flavors available. Naturally, I got one of each and shared with my boyfriend (not exclusively GF). We both loved them! They are dense, but better than any donut I’ve had in years, and not overly sweet. Great flavor selection too. Will definitely return next time we drive up the coast from Boston!

Stopped here on our way home today, omg! I pre-ordered online 24+ hours ahead. Picked up 8 gf donuts and two “GBDs”- great big donuts. The GBDs are full sized GF cakes- for $32! Lol!!The GBD flavors I got are Strawberry Shortcake & Funfetti. Donuts are Yuzu Lavender, Chocolate Ganache, Sea Salted Bourbon and Lemon Poppyseed. Uploading photos. And, gf or not, the whole place is vegan- great for this gf & df girl.

I wasn't as impressed as I was hoping. There were four GF doughnuts to choose from and one was a bourbon flavor. Which left not many options for my 6 yr. Old. They were sold out of juice, so I couldn't get a drink for my kids, I dont remember seeing bottled water. The doughnut was very dense.

Amazing donuts!! They take extra precaution and the donut are amazing. If you order more than 24 hours in advance you can get almost anything made gluten free.

We went once around the holidays. Every flavor of GF was sold out except “egg nog” flavor. I wasn’t thrilled for this flavor at first but it was delicious because it was cooked to perfection. It had that slight fried delicate crispiness on the edges of this cake style donut. Was surprised there was no icing or vegan cream filling on it but it was still so good! I usually can’t eat a whole donut in one sitting but couldn’t put it down. I liked the other reviews that say they are knowledgeable and treat GF patrons with care! We are often an afterthought at best! We will definitely be back and can’t wait to try more flavors!

We spoke to an employee on the phone who was very knowledgeable about cross contamination. We got talking, and he asked us to let him know what our Nima sensor said about the donuts. They passed! Love getting that smiley face. The gluten free Whoopie Pie donut was so delicious. Lots of vegan options as well, for those who have a dairy allergy!
