Large separate gluten free menu. Lots of choices. We got ribs, garlic mashed potatoes, veggies, corn on the cob, and watermelon. All of it was amazing! Even the BBQ sauces were gluten free! We did not get sick afterwards, so would definitely recommend to anyone with celiac.
Large GF menu, which will be given to you upon request. It seems like most of the food they serve is GF other than obvious items like bread and fried foods (cross contamination). Food was good and would have received 5 stars if my ice tea refill hadn't taken so long.

Love Lucilles and their food. Have never gotten sick here, but it’s important to do your homework before you go on what you can and can’t eat. They don’t make GF to order but have a list of items that are already gluten free, so cross contamination may be high.
Amazing! My celiac son, niece, and myself had a delicious, celiac-safe meal. We had the brisket and spare ribs, with baked potato, garlic mashed potatoes, watermelon and coleslaw. Our waiter was the best. He was very knowledgeable & assured us the meal would be free of cross contamination. We really enjoyed the atmosphere as well. We would definitely return.
At 6pm on a Saturday night we got right in with a fine table. Great initial service with drinks. They have a gluten free menu and most of it all is gluten free. All the sauces are gluten free. Initially the server messed up, they tried to give us someone elses plate which we noticed immediately. They go the right one and it all tasted great. We now split a dinner as there is just too much food for one of us. Fairly quite which was great for conversation.
Our waitress was as absolute doll, super fun and bubbly (And sarcastic in a pretty hilarious way) she was very knowledgeable about celiac disease and knew what she could offer me to eat safely. They have a pretty complete gf menu and some things that aren't on it can still be prepared gf. The atmosphere is awesome and the dishes are the perfect size. Food was good! We enjoyed it. I tested my food with my Nima Sensor and it came back a-ok. No issues!
They had a separate GF menu, although the staff were not knowledgeable about Celiac and cross contamination. The first plate they gave me wasn’t washed properly and had old food on the underside which made me very very nervous. The waitress even claimed that “she didn’t think” the dressing provided on the GF menu was in fact GF. She was not sure which salad dressings were GF so I became even more nervous. I did not feel safe eating here. I ended up just getting a baked potato and had to eat dinner when I got home. Unfortunately not a good experience.
The gluten free menu is large and quite complete. All the sauces are gluten free and they have extra bottles of it on your table so you can add as much as you want. I had the Baby Back Ribs with a baked potato and coleslaw. It tasted great. No reaction at all. I cannot wait to go back.
I love Lucille's and use to eat there before, I knew that I had Celiac Disease. I actually got a way with eating there a couple of times and the help was knowledgeable. The mistake I made was eating there after the waitress told me they were making their homemade biscuits in the back, which meant flour was going to be in the air and could settle on my food. I was stupid back then and ate there anyway,. I was so sick for several days after. I have never eaten at Lucille's again, because of that. If they are making their homemade pies or biscuits the flour will be in the air and will settle down on your food. I was warned ahead of time, so it was totally my fault. So, this is just a warning. Make sure before you order their food that they are not going to be baking in the kitchen, if they are don't order, because you will be sick.
NOT Celiac safe.Upon arriving I asked the manager about their process and I was told that they understood gluten and cross contamination. However after finishing my dinner I had been glutened. After spending a long time in the bathroom I went to the manager and told him. He said sorry.... He asked me to fill out a "complaint card". The next day I got a call from the general manager who offered a $40 gift card. She did not understand cross contamination at all and could not grasp what gluten is and how contamination happens.
Great gluten free menu ! completely separate menu for GF and all the bbq sauce is GF . i was able to order off the original menu which has some GF options for cheaper , they just come with biscuits which is why they can't say it's completely GF . just don't order them , and you're set !
Very good food. The bbq sauces are gluten free. I could not figure out which one I liked better. Very generous servings. I had the brisket with garlic mashed potatoes and braised greens. The waitress was knowledgeable about celiac.
We were very specific about needing gluten free. We were ordering to-go. We ordered 2 chicken salads & 1 tri tip salad. The 2 chicken salads came with the crispy onions, which are not gluten free so they had to re-do them. When we got home & tested the tri-tip salad with the Nima Sensor it was not gluten free. I contacted them to inform them & they never even bothered to call us back. We will never be going there again.
Have eaten at Lucille's several times, but this was my first time at this location. Ordered from the GF menu, and had terrific service. Nice to be able to go to a family BBQ restaurant and enjoy delicious food, fun atmosphere, and an overall great dinner without worry. Drinks are huge in Ball jars (quart size). I usually order the tri-tip with chicken and garlic mashed potatoes, taking another whole dinner serving home. The only downfall is that there are no GF rolls when everyone else is eating them (which doesn't bother me, but it may for some). If you like BBQ, this is a great place for lunch (smaller potions and less expensive) or dinner (larger portions and a bit more expensive).
This place has amazing barbecue. They have separate gluten free menu and understood that Celiac meant allergy precautions even before I said anything. Really generous proportions. The kids' menu was also great - very family-friendly. I will definitely go back.
Ordered take out from here and explained I have celiac disease and will get sick with anything that has gluten in it, they said they understood. THERE WAS ONE LONELY MACARONI NOODLE IN MY STEAMED VEGETABLES! You kidding me? I feel like that was done on purpose.
Manager came to talk w me about ingredients of a dressing my daughter wanted on her salad... brought the whole jar for me to see. He understood issue of cross contamination and hidden gluten in processed foods and was so careful. Took extra care. Great good. Decent amount of choices. Bbq is gfree.
I'm a very sensitive celiac. I was able to eat here twice while we were in town without a problem. All of their meats and sauces are gluten free and they are very careful about cross contamination. The gluten free meals come out with an American flag in them so you know it's safe. I highly recommend this place.
Gluten free menu has lots of choices. Sandwiches are listed, but that just means they come without bread. They smoke the meats, so it's not a worry like other places that might marinate the meat in soy sauce. We got American flags stuck in our meat indicating they were gluten free. Our waitress suggested a couple of desserts that could be changed so they would be gluten free, so banana pudding without vanilla wafers was a great way to finish.
Although the meat and sauces are gluten free that bread is not. If you want bread I don't recommend this place. the waitress said that corporate was looking into incorporating GF bread so maybe in the future.
Lucille's is great and their gluten free menu is very extensive. However, I've eaten there twice now (I thought I was sick from something else containing gluten the first time) and I've been very sick both times. I didn't want to be negative but I can't really trust this restaurant especially when I specify that I cannot eat gluten and end up getting sick anyway.
Found a onion straw in my peanut cole slaw after I ordered off the gluten-free menu and specified to the waiter I got very sick if I eat gluten. Manager and waiter felt horrible and were very nice, but I can't trust the place.
Large GF menu, and all their BBQ sauce seems to be GF as well. Any sandwich can me made without a bun. Their staff was very helpful, when inquiring about a new appetizer she went out of her way to check if it was GF, and when it wasn't she went and found out exactly why. It was very friendly, and I have eaten here multiple times without a reaction.
