We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Almost everything on the current menu is gluten free including the crab cakes, the fried oysters, the fried catfish, and much more. They use a gluten free breading for most of the fried items outside of the pan fried chicken which does not go in the fryer. Our server said he has an anaphylaxis reaction to gluten and he is able to eat there. Their menu is seasonal, so it is worth doublechecking the options, but tonight the options were incredible.
I ate here last night and was told by our waiter that everything on the menu is gluten free except for the chicken. He said that they use cornmeal in lieu of flour for the other dishes. It was hard to believe that certain things on the menu could be gluten free, but I ordered the shrimp and grits anyways. It was delicious and I never got the upset stomach that I do whenever I eat gluten. They no longer have gluten free breadsticks which was disappointing!
Went here for sons Birthday I have celiac spoke to the server they didn't know what Celiac was.Explained , they spoke to kitchen promised me veg omelette was gluten free. Was sick with in 20 minutes and it ruined the rest of the day.and suffered for a few days afterwards. .
Overall amazing experience. There's no gluten free markings on the menu, so ordering took some back-and-forth. Staff was extremely nice & helpful. I got the creamy breakfast grits bowl and oh my gosh. This food was mind-blindingly delicious. I did not get sick. Highly recommend for some really good gluten free comfort food.
Great experience! No gluten free menu, but very knowledgeable, well trained server who understood celiac requirements. A lot of things on the menu are naturally gluten free. They usually have GF bread sticks, but were out so our waitress brought out carrots and celery sticks with a dip so that my celiac husband didn’t have to watch the rest of us nibble on bread while we waited for our meal. He had the salmon and grits, no issues at all. Would definitely recommend.
Limited menu options. They accommodate but in a way where they just leave off any ingredients you can't have- no replacements. So paying nearly $30 for a piece of trout cooked in plain olive oil is a bit mediocre.
Such a great experience last night. I have celiac disease so I emailed before to see if they had gluten free options. We went and they were amazing! They waiter knew immediately what I could eat which made it to easy. I got gluten free breadsticks while the others I was with had their bread and the jumbalia was delicious!! We will definitely eat back
