I’ve dined at different locations multiple times now and had consistent, positive experiences. I’ve found the menu to be clearly labeled, and staff attentive to my specific needs. This visit especially, our server went the extra mile for me. I do wish they had a good GF dessert option- there was not one listed on the menu.
I called to ask if the nachos were gluten free. The employee informed me that the chips are gluten free, but fried in the same frier as wheat ingredients. Then I asked if I got the nachos with brisket would it still be gluten free. The employee didn’t know and put the manager on the phone. I repeated the question and the managers reply was “I don’t understand the question. What could have gluten?” So, with an uneducated manager and possible cross contamination, I decided not to eat here.
Good eats for gluten sensitive folks. More likely to be GF when ordering online, otherwise you need to be assertive (or a regular face) to get the message back to the cooks. Most waiters do the memory game with multiple tables and can forget allergy details. Some GF menu items aren't safe just due to their prep area (I've tested nachos, BBQ & fried items - fryers are shared despite what waiters say) Just keep in mind the online orders: local Suit & Tie Delivery ($15 min. & $5 delivery fee)
SHARED KITCHEN - Not safe for extremely sensitive/celiac. Mild to moderate cases should be okay, but make sure allergies are written down.
I have now eaten there twice. Last night I ordered a salad and was very specific with the server multiple times about my gluten allergy. Pretty sure he wasn't really listening and sure enough I woke up with body aches, headache, stomach pains, etc. I will not be eating there again
There weren’t as many GF options as I thought there would be and no dedicated fryer. Got the steak bites and bang bang shrimp appetizer (they just skipped breading the shrimp) - shrimp was good but skip the steak bites. Server couldn’t answer my cross contact questions but was happy to go ask the kitchen for me. Felt fine after though!
